Job summary

Olive Green Consulting in Gurugram is seeking a highly accomplished senior business operations leader to own and scale the operating engine of a fast-growing, asset-light marketplace. You will drive overall P&L, revenue growth, profitability, productivity, and operational excellence while leading large, distributed teams and partnering with the Co-Founders on strategic initiatives.

This is a hands-on 24x7 leadership role requiring five-days-a-week office presence in Gurugram and a proven track

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in senior business or operations leadership.
• Experience as COO/Head of Operations or VP Operations.
• End-to-end P&L ownership and scale of business.
• Experience leading 500+ workforce and large teams.
• Background in high-growth startups, marketplaces, or product-led businesses.

Head of Operations / Business Operations Leader

Work Model: Full-time | 5 Days from Office

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly accomplished and hands-on senior business operations leader to lead and scale the overall business operating engine.

Note :

This is not a conventional Supply Chain, Warehouse, Hub Operations, or Fleet Maintenance role.

We are looking for a leader who has experience driving business performance, P&L, revenue growth, profitability, productivity, operational excellence, and large-scale execution.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to combine strategic thinking with strong execution and will work closely with the Co-Founders to drive business growth and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and drive overall business performance, P&L, revenue growth, profitability, and operational efficiency.
• Lead initiatives focused on business growth, expansion, productivity, and performance improvement.
• Build and manage scalable operating structures and processes.
• Lead and manage large, distributed, and field-intensive teams.
• Monitor key business metrics and drive data-backed decision-making.
• Identify operational and business challenges through regular engagement with on-ground teams and implement effective solutions.
• Drive productivity and efficiency across customer and field operations.
• Work closely with the Co-Founders on strategic initiatives and ensure strong execution.
• Build scalable processes, governance mechanisms, and performance-management systems.
• Balance strategic leadership with hands-on involvement in understanding ground-level business challenges.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 15+ years of overall experience, with significant experience in senior business or operations leadership roles.
• Currently or previously working as a COO, Business Head, Head of Business Operations, VP Operations, VP Business, or a similar senior leadership role.
• Demonstrated experience in end-to-end P&L ownership, revenue growth, profitability, and business scaling.
• Experience managing large and distributed teams; exposure to managing a 500+ workforce will be strongly preferred.
• Strong experience in high-growth, product-led, startup, marketplace, or field-intensive businesses.
• Experience working directly with Founders, Co-Founders, or CXO-level leadership is preferred.
• Strong analytical, commercial, and data-driven decision-making capabilities.
• A hands-on leader who is comfortable engaging with teams on the ground and solving real business challenges.

• Exceptional candidates with a strong professional track record from leading startups or high-growth product companies may also be considered.

This is a leadership role within a 24x7 business environment. The role requires working from the Gurugram office five days a week. While the incumbent may not be required to be physically present in the office on the sixth day, they should be comfortable managing and coordinating with teams as required.
