Job summary

Revantage, providing real estate services for Blackstone, seeks a Head of Accounting for its India operations to lead operating and construction accounting, treasury, A/P and A/R. You will drive month-end close, ensure policy compliance, and partner with GCC and onshore teams to standardize processes.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of accounting experience in real estate industry.

  • Experience preparing budgets, compiling financial and operational data, and preparing financial statements and reports.
  • Experience with change management and transformation of accounting processes, including standardization, process improvement, and implementation of new systems or workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all accounting personnel in India, including operating and construction accounting professionals, treasury, accounts payable, and accounts receivable staff.
  • Lead and manage daily, weekly, and monthly functional processes, including the month-end close process, to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Identify and execute process improvements and implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of India’s financial operations, while partnering with corporate accounting personnel to ensure alignment with onshore accounting functions and company standards.
  • Lead and mentor all accounting personnel, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional development, including developing and leading training programs for staff on accounting policies, procedures, and systems.
  • Partner with the BMR GCC Head of India and onshore corporate accounting personnel to recruit, hire, onboard, train, develop, manage, and retain the accounting team in India, owning the talent management processes and tools for India’s accounting team.
  • Serve as the primary local escalation point for the India accounting team, resolving issues and escalating to onshore leadership as appropriate.
  • Monitor team performance against service levels and close deadlines, and report on team metrics to GCC and onshore accounting leadership.
