GMR Group seeks a seasoned Landside and Terminal Safety leader to oversee safety standards across airports. The role focuses on developing ConOps, audits, dashboards, and training to drive incident-free operations and strong safety culture.

You will report to the Head – Landside and Terminal Safety, coordinate cross-functional safety reviews, implement SMS compliance, and lead safety promotion activities with airlines, ground handlers and other stakeholders.

Formación

• Graduate Engineer preferably with experience in Safety.
• 10-15 years of overall experience with at least 5 years in Safety.
• Experience in airport safety, operations, or regulatory compliance is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Create Terminal Safety and Compliance framework (ConOps, Internal and external SLA, SOP, KPI/ KPA).
• Enhance safety management processes and procedures; drive safety improvements.
• Plan and implement safety audits; monitor adherence and effectiveness.
• Promote Safety Culture through SOPs, training, and engagement initiatives.
• Act as information conduit; coordinate risk assessments and maintain safety dashboards.
• Articulate safety findings, KPI, and action plans across the organization.
• Promote innovation in safety processes with follow-up projects.
• Conduct Cross-functional Safety audits/reviews.
• Monitor SMS compliance and resolve discrepancies.

Job Description:

JOB PURPOSE

This position at the Sector level will be responsible for monitoring the Landside and Terminal Safety of all GMR airports through development of standards, audits, training, monitoring dashboards etc. with end objective of achieving incident free airport operations.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Creation of Terminal Safety and Compliance framework (ConOps, Internal and external SLA, SOP, KPI/ KPA) etc.

  % improvement in composite safety score.

• Enhanced safety management

  Contribute to enhancement of safety management processes and procedures

• Safety Culture at Terminal and Landside: Model and promote an organizational culture that fosters safety practices (regulatory practices and rules, standard operations procedures, compliance monitoring…)

• Information gateway: Act as an information conduit to bring any safety issues to the attention of management and to deliver safety information to the organization’s staff, contractors and stakeholders. Coordinate and spur risk assessments by the assets and track the mitigation measures.

  Maintaining current safety dashboard of individual airports

• Provide and articulate information regarding safety issues within the organization (findings, KPI, actions plan, standardization)

  Periodicity of deliverable

• Promote innovation in safety process

  Number of innovation initiatives IT follow up projects

• Conduct Cross-functional Safety audits/reviews

  Number of CFT audits conducted

• Monitoring of SMS compliance and implementation for various airport assets
