A leading investment firm in India is seeking an experienced professional to develop and execute sales strategies focusing on promoting ETFs. This role requires building relationships with various institutional clients, delivering presentations, and innovating sales approaches to grow the ETF business. The ideal candidate should have over 10 years of investment sales experience, preferably in ETFs, and possess an MBA or equivalent degree.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of investment sales and business development experience, preferably in ETF sales.
  • Strong quantitative skills to understand complex instruments.

Job description
Overview

This role will require developing and executing a detailed sales strategy focusing on promoting the benefits and extending the usage of ETFs by clients. The primary target audience will include Pension Funds, PF Trusts, Family Offices, Corporate Treasuries, Insurance Companies, Banks, PMS / AIF Managers, and Broking Firms focused on retail distribution management.

Responsibilities
  • Work with the Institutional Sales and Distribution teams to identify and target existing and potential clients within each segment/channel.
  • Develop a combination of direct and indirect sales and business development strategies with a suitable priority to focus efforts on the highest opportunities.
  • Establish, grow, and manage investment relationships with clients - Acquire new clients through market intelligence and regular engagements.
  • Provide and deliver presentations for workshops, seminars, and individual client meetings as appropriate to represent DSP and build a broader understanding and usage of ETFs.
  • Act as a trusted partner with clients and position DSP as the preferred ETF manager; provide suitable investment recommendations in line with market positioning and show how ETFs can be used as a tool to achieve desired asset allocation.
  • Recognize changes in the clients/ market environment which may present opportunities.
  • Work to ensure that the DSP sales teams operate as a cohesive unit where information on sales activity, account intelligence, and sales leads are shared continually.
  • Be a primary source of trade ideas that can be showcased to clients using ETFs as a base.
  • Work closely with the product development team providing input and feedback regarding product planning and implementation.
Skills needed
  • Proven expertise in selling investment products to clients.
  • Superior understanding of Capital Markets and Products, understanding drivers of risk and returns of different asset classes
  • Understanding of how ETFs can be used as a tool to achieve a desired asset allocation
  • High Energy and Entrepreneurial mindset to grow ETFs business
  • High standard of public speaking and presentation experience
Experience
  • 10+ years of investment sales, and business development with a preference for ETF sales
  • Strong quantitative skills, ability to understand complex instruments and fund structures
Qualifications
  • MBA or any equivalent degree. CFA, CWM, or CFP will be plus
