Title could be AGM / DGM / GM based on experience. The candidate will oversee engineering and maintenance teams, ensure plant availability, drive CAPEX projects and ensure compliance

Position: Head Engineering AGM / DGM / GM

Job Location : Kutch, Gujarat

Industry Preference: Chemical / Specialty Chemical / Fine Chemical / Agrochemical / Large Chemical Manufacturing Complex

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Head to lead the complete engineering function of a large chemical manufacturing facility. The incumbent will be responsible for Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Utilities and Projects, with a strong focus on plant reliability, operational efficiency, safety, cost optimization and project execution.

The designation of AGM / DGM / GM will be decided based on the candidate's overall experience, current designation and functional exposure.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the overall Engineering and Maintenance function of the Chemical manufacturing plant.
• Manage Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Utilities and Project Engineering teams.
• Ensure maximum plant availability and reliability through effective preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance practices.
• Drive maintenance and reliability improvement initiatives for rotating and static equipment, including reactors, pumps, agitators, compressors, blowers, heat exchangers, vessels, piping and associated systems.
• Oversee electrical systems including HT/LT distribution, transformers, substations, motors, MCCs, VFDs, DG sets and power management systems.
• Supervise instrumentation and automation activities involving DCS, PLC, field instruments, control systems and process automation.
• Ensure reliable and cost-effective operation of plant utilities such as boilers, chillers, cooling towers, air compressors, refrigeration systems, water systems and other utility infrastructure.

Candidate Profile

• B.E. Mechanical – Full Time from a reputed institute.
• Candidate should have maintained First Division throughout academics from 10th Standard to B.E.

• Minimum 18-25 years of relevant experience in Chemical / Specialty Chemical / Fine Chemical / Agrochemical or a large chemical manufacturing complex.

• Must have substantial experience as an overall Plant Engineering Head / Site Engineering Head.

• Should have handled multidisciplinary engineering functions covering:
• Mechanical
• Electrical
• Instrumentation
• Utilities
• Projects
• Strong exposure to plant maintenance, reliability, utilities management and CAPEX/project execution is essential.
• Experience managing large engineering teams, contractors and multiple technical disciplines.
• Strong knowledge of plant safety, statutory compliance and engineering best practices.
• Good leadership, decision‑making, troubleshooting and stakeholder‑management capabilities.

Preferred Experience

Candidates currently working as:

Engineering Head | Plant Engineering Head | Head – Engineering & Projects | GM Engineering | DGM Engineering | AGM Engineering | Site Engineering Head

with experience in a large-scale chemical manufacturing environment will be preferred.
