Job summary

Adani Group seeks a Lead EMS Engineer to design, develop, integrate, test, and commission EMS solutions for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). The candidate will work with BMS, PCS, SCADA, and forecasting platforms, configuring EMS applications for peak shaving and energy arbitrage using industry protocols.

Job description

Purpose/Objective

The Lead EMS is responsible for designing, developing, integrating, testing, and commissioning Energy Management System (EMS) solutions for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).

The role involves optimization of energy dispatch, renewable integration, grid interaction, demand response, forecasting, and EMS-SCADA coordination to ensure efficient plant operations.

Key Responsibilities of Role

• Lead EMS architecture design for utility-scale and commercial BESS projects.
• Define EMS functional requirements, control philosophies, and operational strategies.
• Develop energy optimization algorithms for battery charging/discharging.
• Configure EMS applications for peak shaving, load shifting, energy arbitrage, and ancillary services.
• Integrate EMS with: Battery Management System (BMS), Power Conversion System (PCS), SCADA, Weather Forecasting Platforms, Renewable Energy Systems (Solar/Wind). Ensure seamless communication using Modbus, IEC 61850, OPC-UA, DNP3, and MQTT protocols.
