Job summary

Sarthee Consultancy is hiring an EHS leader to develop and execute the EHS strategy aligned with corporate objectives and priorities. You will drive excellence through performance monitoring, risk management, and continuous improvement across steel processing operations.

Qualifications

• Experience leading EHS programs in metal processing.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 45001 standards.
• Proven ability to perform HIRA and JSA.
• Experience with LOTO, confined spaces, and working at height.
• Experience liaising with Pollution Control Boards and environmental authorities.

• Lead Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment (HIRA) and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for steel processing operations.
• Oversee safe work practices for coil handling, crane operations, forklifts, slitting and shearing lines.
• Enforce LockoutTagout (LOTO), confined space, and work-at-height safety procedures.
• Promote correct use of PPE and ensure shop-floor safety discipline.
• Ensure adherence to environmental regulations and sustainability standards.
• Manage pollution control systems, waste disposal, and recycling of scrap and lubricants.
• Liaise with Pollution Control Boards for permits, reporting, and inspections.
• Lead energy conservation and resource efficiency initiatives.
