The role ensures compliance with SEBI and NSDL/CDSL regulations, oversees account openings, corporate actions, and end-to-end onboarding, while building a high-performance DP & KYC team and delivering accurate MIS reporting.

Qualifications

• Graduate or Postgraduate in Finance, Commerce, or related field.
• 5–12 years of experience in DP operations, KYC, or back-office roles.
• Strong knowledge of NSDL/CDSL operations, SEBI KYC regulations, and account opening processes.
• Hands-on experience with DP software, KYC verification platforms, and MIS reporting.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and process management skills.
• Detail-oriented, process-driven, and compliance-focused.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Demat account opening, transfers, dematerialization/rematerialization, and closures.
• Coordinate with NSDL/CDSL and other DPs to ensure smooth operations.
• Monitor reconciliations, settlements, and exception handling in DP accounts.
• Ensure timely execution of corporate actions (bonuses, splits, dividends).
• Manage end-to-end client onboarding (Retail, HNI, Institutional) and KYC verification.
• Lead DP & KYC team, set SOPs, KPIs, and drive process improvements.
• Prepare MIS reports on DP operations, onboarding metrics, and risks.

Job Title: Head DP & KYC Operations

Job Summary:

The Head of DP & KYC will oversee all operations related to Depository Participant (Demat) accounts, KYC processing, and client onboarding. The role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, smooth account management, and operational efficiency while leading the DP & KYC team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. DP Operations

• Oversee Demat account opening, transfers, dematerialization, rematerialization, and closures.
• Coordinate with NSDL/CDSL and Depository Participants to ensure smooth functioning.
• Monitor Demat account reconciliations, settlements, and exception handling.
• Ensure timely execution of corporate actions like bonus, splits, dividends, etc.

2. KYC & Client Onboarding

• Manage the end-to-end client onboarding process (Retail, HNI, Institutional).
• Ensure KYC verification as per SEBI, exchange, and internal guidelines.
• Oversee account documentation, verification, and approval processes.
• Handle escalations in KYC discrepancies or incomplete documentation.

3. Compliance & Regulatory Oversight

• Ensure compliance with SEBI, NSDL/CDSL, and exchange regulations.
• Maintain audit trails and documentation for regulatory inspections.
• Conduct periodic internal audits of DP & KYC processes.

4. Team Leadership & Process Management

• Lead, mentor, and manage DP & KYC operations team.
• Develop and implement process improvements and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Set KPIs and monitor team performance for efficiency and accuracy.

5. MIS & Reporting

• Prepare regular reports on Demat account operations, KYC compliance, and onboarding metrics.
• Report exceptions, pending cases, and operational risks to senior management.
• Support management in decision-making with accurate operational data.

6. Technology & Vendor Coordination

• Liaise with KYC verification vendors, DP software providers, and IT teams.
• Implement automation and system upgrades for faster processing and accuracy.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Graduate or Postgraduate in Finance, Commerce, or related field.
• 5–12 years of experience in DP operations, KYC, or back-office operations in a stock broking/financial services firm.
• Strong knowledge of NSDL/CDSL operations, SEBI KYC regulations, and account opening processes.
