Job summary

A senior data, analytics and AI leadership role in a large pharmaceutical enterprise, Mumbai. Drive an enterprisewide data and AI strategy, aligned with digital transformation goals, with direct visibility to the CDO and board.

Lead a multidisciplinary team, govern data quality, privacy, and regulatory compliance, oversee ML/GenAI programs, and deliver real-time, predictive insights across ERP, CRM and core platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of leadership in data, analytics and AI within large enterprises.
• Strong background in data strategy, governance, and modern data architecture.
• Hands-on understanding of analytics, ML and GenAI ecosystems.
• Experience in regulated environments with data privacy/compliance awareness.
• Ability to translate business problems into scalable data/AI solutions.
• Familiarity with SQL, Python, BI platforms and AI/ML frameworks.

Job Description

• Define and execute a comprehensive enterprisewide data, analytics and AI strategy aligned with business priorities and digital transformation goals.
• Lead the roadmap for Machine Learning, Generative AI and emerging Agentic AI use cases, ensuring measurable value creation.
• Design and implement modern data and AI architectures including data lakes, lakehouses, realtime pipelines and scalable AI platforms.
• Establish robust data governance frameworks covering data quality, privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Drive AI model governance, ethical AI practices, and lifecycle management across ML, GenAI and autonomous agents.
• Oversee integration of AI and analytics solutions with core enterprise systems such as ERP, CRM and other business platforms.
• Build advanced analytics capabilities including predictive, cognitive and decision intelligence solutions.
• Lead enterprise reporting and BI transformation from static dashboards to realtime, AIdriven insights.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, translating complex data and AI concepts into clear business outcomes.
• Build, mentor and lead a highperforming, multidisciplinary data and AI team.

The Successful Applicant

• 5+ years of overall experience with significant leadership exposure in data, analytics and AI roles within large enterprises.
• Strong background in data strategy, data governance, and modern data architecture.
• Handson understanding of analytics, machine learning, and Generative AI ecosystems.
• Experience working in regulated environments with strong awareness of data privacy and compliance requirements.
• Proven ability to translate business problems into scalable data and AI solutions.
• Familiarity with tools and technologies across SQL, Python, BI platforms, and AI/ML frameworks.
• Demonstrated success in building and leading highperforming teams across data engineering, analytics and AI.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leadership.
• Excellent communication skills, particularly in explaining complex technical concepts to nontechnical audiences.
• Strategic mindset combined with execution rigour and a continuous learning orientation.
