Job summary

Somani Group is seeking an experienced Commodities Trader to design and execute hedging strategies for ferrous and non-ferrous metals from steel to copper in Delhi. You will manage exposure with futures, options, and swaps on LME/MCX, track market fundamentals, and ensure regulatory compliance. The role focuses on profitability through disciplined risk management.

You will prepare regular reports on market movements, trading performance, exposures, and strategic insights for senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute hedging strategies for ferrous and non-ferrous metals such as steel, aluminum, copper, zinc, nickel, lead, etc.
• Manage exposure through futures, options, swaps, and structured products on exchanges like LME, MCX.
• Track global metal markets, supply-demand fundamentals, and geopolitical developments.
• Ensure compliance with internal risk policies, exchange regulations, and statutory norms.
• Track and evaluate commodity markets to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
• Execute trades across assigned commodities in strict adherence to internal policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Oversee and optimize trading portfolios to ensure profitability and alignment with overall market and hedging strategies.
• Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly reports covering market movements, trading performance, exposures, and strategic insights.
