Job summary

Lifestyle International Private Limited is seeking a cashiering and store operations professional to manage tills, cash handling, and billing processes. You will lead a cashier team, ensure hygiene standards at the till, and train staff to prevent fraud while maintaining high customer service at the counter.

Roles include end-of-day reconciliation, cash deposits, and adherence to cash management norms. Relevant experience in retail operations and strong teamwork are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation is required as part of the formal education background.
• Knowledge of cash handling and billing processes is preferred.
• Experience in retail operations and customer service is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage the allocation and operation of tills and float as per defined norms
• Equip the cashier team to implement the correct practices relating to cash and bill operations
• Review and ensure that the tills are maintained as per the defined standards of hygiene
• Generate awareness in the cashier team on the possible areas of fraud to create a fraud less environment
• Provide support to cashiers in billing during peak hours
• Consolidate and reconcile all tenders and billing at the end of day as per norms (including transactions involving jumbling)
• Deposit the cash collected during the day as per norms ensuring there is no shortage or excess of cash
• Maintain required documentation relating to cash and bill operations (charge slips, deposit slips, cash room registers etc.)
• Manage the process of issuance, redemption and reconciliation of credit notes, GVs and gift items as per defined norms
• Adhere to the defined guidelines of petty cash management (closure, payments, refilling etc.) and ensure store has adequate cash at any point of time
• Manage adherence to defined standards of customer service to enable a great customer shopping experience at the cash counter
• Set expectations and give regular feedback to team
• Provide required trainings on relevant cashiering processes and customer service to the team
