Qualifications

• 5–7 years of hands-on HDPE extrusion/manufacturing experience.
• Ability to operate extrusion lines independently and meet targets.
• Knowledge of 5S and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor HDPE pipe extrusion machines safely and efficiently.
• Set and operate extrusion lines to match pipe specs and production plans.
• Handle start-up, shutdown, changeover, and process adjustments.
• Monitor temperature, pressure, line speed, cooling, and other process parameters.
• Ensure proper raw material feeding and consistent quality.
• Track pipe dimensions, thickness, weight, and appearance during production.
• Troubleshoot machine/process issues to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Stores teams.
• Ensure production aligns with specifications and daily targets.
• Maintain production records, machine parameters, and shift reports.
• Minimize wastage, rejections, and losses.
• Assist with basic machine maintenance and report abnormalities.
• Maintain 5S in production area and follow safety procedures.
• Support supervision and management in achieving targets.

Job Summary

The HDPE Pipe Operator will be responsible for independently operating and monitoring HDPE pipe extrusion machines, ensuring smooth production, consistent product quality, efficient machine performance, and compliance with safety standards.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in HDPE pipe extrusion and manufacturing, with the ability to manage machine settings, monitor critical process parameters, troubleshoot common production issues, and achieve daily production targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor HDPE pipe extrusion machines safely and efficiently.
• Set and operate extrusion lines according to required pipe specifications, sizes, pressure classes, and production plans.
• Handle machine start-up, shutdown, changeover, and process adjustments.
• Monitor temperature, pressure, line speed, cooling, extrusion output, and other critical process parameters.
• Ensure proper raw material feeding and maintain consistent production quality.
• Monitor pipe dimensions, thickness, weight, appearance, and other quality parameters during production.
• Identify and troubleshoot common machine and process-related issues to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Stores teams for smooth production operations.
• Ensure production is carried out as per approved specifications and daily production targets.
• Maintain accurate production records, machine parameters, rejection details, and shift reports.
• Minimize material wastage, rejection, and production losses.
• Assist with basic machine maintenance and promptly report technical abnormalities to the Maintenance team.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and follow 5S practices in the production area.
• Strictly follow company safety procedures and safe operating practices.
• Support the Production Supervisor and management in achieving production, quality, efficiency, and safety targets.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong practical knowledge of HDPE pipe extrusion processes.
• Good understanding of HDPE raw materials, extrusion parameters, and pipe manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience in independently operating and monitoring HDPE extrusion lines.
• Ability to troubleshoot common extrusion and process-related problems.
• Understanding of pipe size, thickness, weight, pressure class, and quality requirements.
• Ability to work in rotational shifts and under production targets.
• Strong focus on quality, safety, productivity, and discipline.
• Good teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Educational Qualification

ITI / Diploma / Technical qualification in Mechanical, Plastic Technology, Production, or a related field will be preferred.

Experience

• 5 - 7 years of relevant hands-on experience in HDPE pipe extrusion/manufacturing.
• Candidates with practical experience operating HDPE Pipe Extrusion Machines will be preferred.

Compensation

35,000 - 40,000 per month
