Qualifications

• 5–7 years of Polymer Compounding & Extrusion experience.
• Hands-on exposure to polymer compounding lines, twin-screw extrusion, and process control.
• Experience in engineering plastics or PC compounds is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate and supervise polymer compounding and extrusion processes to meet targets.
• Set and optimize machine parameters per SOPs and process needs.
• Coordinate with Quality Control to ensure product quality.
• Ensure safety, quality and operational standards on the shop floor.
• Plan shifts and manage production manpower and productivity.
• Manage changeovers and minimize downtime during transitions.
• Oversee automated material handling systems and conveyors.
• Drive continuous improvement via Kaizen, TQM, Lean practices.
• Support ISO compliance activities and documentation.
• Troubleshoot process issues to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Maintain production records and shift handover documents.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Extruder Operator for our Polymer Compounding & Extrusion manufacturing operations. The incumbent will be responsible for managing day-to-day production activities, ensuring adherence to process parameters, maintaining product quality standards, achieving production targets, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and leading shop-floor manpower effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and supervise polymer compounding and extrusion processes to achieve production targets.


• Set, monitor, and optimize machine parameters as per approved SOPs and process requirements.


• Coordinate closely with the Quality Control team to ensure product quality compliance.


• Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and operational standards.


• Handle production manpower deployment, shift planning, and workforce productivity.


• Manage product grade changeovers and minimize downtime during transitions.


• Monitor and maintain automated material handling systems, including feeders and conveying equipment.


• Implement continuous improvement initiatives through Kaizen, TQM, and Lean Manufacturing practices.


• Support ISO compliance activities, audits, and documentation.


• Troubleshoot process and production-related issues to ensure uninterrupted operations.


• Maintain production records, reports, and shift handover documentation.

Educational Qualification:

• Mandatory: Diploma / DPET / CIPET in Polymer Technology, Plastics Technology, Chemical Engineering, or relevant discipline.

Experience:

• 5-7 years of experience in Polymer Compounding & Extrusion Manufacturing.


• Hands-on exposure to polymer compounding lines, twin-screw extrusion, and process control.


• Experience in manufacturing of engineering plastics, PC compounds, polymer alloys, or specialty compounds preferred.
