Job summary

HELLA is seeking an experienced Architecture Design professional for HV power electronics, covering OBC, DCDC, motor inverters and BMS. You will lead design from RFQ to launch, define the technology roadmap, ensure EMC/compliance, and optimize costs while guiding a team of up to 20 engineers.

Position involves collaboration with customers, suppliers and cross-functional teams. The role requires deep expertise in high-power HV hardware (up to 20kW, ~400V), EMI/EMC, magnetics, PCB layout, thermal

Qualifications

  • 13 to 15+ years of experience in Power electronics Product development.
  • Experience with HW design simulation tools.
  • Experience with EMI/EMC standards in India and Europe.
  • Design to meet EMC requirement.
  • Design for Manufacturability, Design for Testability
  • Understanding of the cost of electronic parts for optimization in Bill of Material
  • Knowledge on passenger vehicle E-Drive train components, DC DC and OBC.
  • Strong Design knowledge and hands on experience HV (~400V) high power (upto 20KW) in HW development.
  • Expertise in EMC and magnetics design.
  • FuSA (Upto ASIL D) Experience

Responsibilities

  • Define architecture, Identification of BOM in compliance to HELLA standards and customer compliance requirements. Identify suitable technology. Optimize system complexity in coordination with the customer.
  • Derive a cost-effective solution along with program management within the scope of customer RFQ.
  • Identify the risks and related mitigation plan including system measures if applicable.
  • Review and release of design for critical sample milestones. Design including the magnetics, PCB layout, HV isolation, thermal in addition to HW design.
  • Support and guide the team during the testing phase to achieve desired performance as per design
  • Guide the team to stay within the cost or further optimize the cost during the development. Release gate for sample to customer.
  • Define the technology roadmap for each product or integrated products based on the customers. advance engineering and marketing inputs.
  • Trigger advance engineering projects based on 5-10 years of horizon to launch.
  • Define the process for performance repeatability and optimize time to market.
  • Define and execute reusable platform solutions within/across product segments.

Job description

Job Objective

Architecture Design for HV Power electronics products (OBC, DCDC, Motor inverters and BMS) during acquisition and series product development. Meeting the system performance and fault tolerant

requirements for all power electronics products of organization for domestic market. Define technology road map on power electronics features, cost and performance viewpoint.

Complete development experience from RFQ to launch for at least one customer for at least one HV and High-power electronics product.
Tasks /Area of Responsibility
