Job summary

Siemens Goa is seeking a Hardware Architect with deep expertise in high-speed data acquisition, digital grid products, and robust PCB/EMI-enabled designs. You will interface across hardware and firmware teams, drive test plans, and ensure reliable multi-board data transfer.

Ideal candidates have BE/ME in Electronics and 15+ years of hands-on experience in high-speed digital design, with proficiency in CAN/SPI, FPGA/MCU selection, and rigorous validation processes.

Qualifications

• BE / ME in Electronics is required.
• Minimum 15 years knowledge of High-Speed Digital Design.
• Hands-on in high-speed data acquisition systems with SI/PI considerations.
• Experience with hardware/firmware design lifecycle and testing.

Responsibilities

• Interface with Product lifecycle management, hardware/ firmware design, development, validation, and manufacturing teams.
• Develop test plans and convert into test firmware.
• Lead PCB design for High Speed Data Acquisition systems with Signal Integrity and Power Integrity analysis.
• Design for EMI/EMC, low power, and operation in noisy environments.
• Work on high-speed data transfer interfaces (Optical, Ethernet).

Job description:

1. Knowledge about Product in Digital Grid domain, Protection and Secondary distribution products

2. Product development R&D experience following development life cycle from Requirement Engineering, Requirement Analysis, design, develop, testing.

3. Interface with Product life cycle management, hardware/Firmware design, development, validation, verification, and manufacturing team

Professional Knowledge

1. Hands-on experience in High Speed Data sampling, High Speed ADC / DAC design, SAR ADC, Sigma delta ADC.

2. Microcontroller, Micro-processor, FPGA selection for High speed data acquisition system design,

3. Analog design for High Speed, Op-Amp design, Selection of Op-Amp for High Speed data acquisition, Filter design

4. Communication protocol like CAN, SPI and physical layer design for multi-board data acquisition system

5. Communication Block for High Speed data transfer, Experience with Optical, Ethernet based communication port design

6. Component selection criteria for High Speed design, Passive component, Definition for Power supply requirement for high speed data acquisition system

7. Test plan development and its transformation in to test firmware.

8. PCB design for High Speed Data acquisition system, Signal Integrity, Power Integrity Analysis, tool required for signal integrity and power integrity analysis

9. Design for EMI -EMC, Mechanical and Environmental compliance, Good hands-on about EMI EMC debugging specially with high speed data acquisition system, optimization for product applications.

10. Design for Low Power application, Product design for Noisy Environment, Design for Safety

11. Knowledge about Test and Validation equipment- High Speed Oscilloscope, Signal Analyzer for High Speed data acquisition system.

12. First time Right Design, Fail Fast Fail Cheap Design Methodology
