Job summary

Haldirams in Noida is seeking an Operations & Maintenance professional to monitor production lines and operate/deploy equipment such as drum dryers, slicers, blanchers, and milling machines.

The role involves ensuring product quality through QC checks, managing stages from raw material handling to packaging, maintaining safety and sanitation protocols, and compiling production reports for shift documentation.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Description

• Production Monitoring: Monitoring machines, including peelers, slicers, blanching units, and, crucially, drum dryers (large, heated rotating cylinders) to ensure proper cooking and dehydration.
• Quality Control: Conducting regular quality checks, such as testing moisture content, color, and texture, to ensure compliance with product standards.
• Machine Operation & Maintenance: Operating equipment, adjusting parameters (temperature control systems), and performing preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Process Management: Overseeing the stages from raw material handling to final milling, sifting, and packaging.
• Safety & Sanitation: Ensuring strict adherence to food safety, hygiene regulations, and sanitation protocols.
• Reporting: Compiling production reports, tracking inventory, and documenting any issues during the shift.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience is preferred, specifically within a potato flakes, potato flour, or vegetable dehydration production line.
• Technical Skills (Operators): Proven expertise in operating and monitoring specific equipment such as drum dryers, blanchers, slicers/cutters, milling machines, and flakes handling systems.
• Quality Control (QC/QA): Knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, ISO), ability to perform raw material inspection, and experience in monitoring product quality to ensure consistency.
• Education: Generally a Bachelors degree in Food Science, Engineering, or a related field, particularly for management or quality roles. / Bachelor of Technology / Bachelor of Engineering (B.Tech/B.E.) in Any Specialization
