Job summary

EY is seeking a Testing-Insurance Automation-Senior to lead UAT and automated testing for Guidewire-based Insurance projects in Bengaluru. The role requires hands-on testing of PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter, and GW Portal integrations within an Agile framework.

The candidate should bring 5–8 years of UAT/business testing experience in Guidewire and Insurance domains, with strong SQL skills and excellent communication for stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of UAT/business testing experience in Guidewire – Policy-Claims-Billing centre / Insurance domain with Agile methodology.
• Experience in Guidewire PolicyCenter, Rating, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter and GW Portal products.
• Strong knowledge of GW integration points.
• Very strong knowledge in P&C Insurance domain with multiple LOBs.
• Candidates must have experience in Automation and/or AI testing.
• Experience in SQL basics.

Responsibilities

• Prepare test strategy, test plan, test scenarios, and test scripts based on project requirements.
• Execute functional and regression test cases.
• Report defects and ensure closure through the STLC process.
• Participate in review meetings and walkthroughs.
• Maintain bug reports and delivery notes; perform peer-review of test cases and various testing types (sanity, smoke, regression, system, UAT).
• Attend status calls to report testing progress.

The opportunity

As a Business Tester, you will be accountable & responsible to Prepare test strategy, test plan, test scenario, test scripts based on the project requirements. Execute functional and regression test cases. Report the defects in tracking tool and ensure its closure through STLC process. Involve in review meetings and walk through meetings. Candidate should have knowledge / experience in Guidewire – Policy-Claims-BillingCenter / Insurance domain. Having experience in Agile methodology is a must.

Skills and attributes for success

• Deft knowledge on Agile Scrum
• Strong hands‑on experience in Guidewire – PolicyCenter with Rating, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter and GW Portal Products
• Strong knowledge in GW Integrations points.
• Very Strong Knowledge in P&C Insurance Domain with multiple LOBs.
• Candidates must have experience in Automation and/or AI testing.
• Experience in SQL basics
• Understanding the entire modules and their functionality by verifying the Functional Specification and Style guide issued by the client.
• Responsible for writing and executing the Test Cases for Functional Testing.
• Maintaining the Bug Reports and delivery Note details.
• Involved in Peer-Review of the test cases, Sanity Testing, Smoke Testing, Regression Testing, System Testing and User Acceptance Testing.
• Should be a Team player and has experience in Stakeholders management
• Involved in review meetings and walk through meetings.
• Attend status calls as needed to report on testing progress

To qualify for the role, you must have

• BE/BTech/MCA/M.Sc.
• 5 -8 years of UAT/Business testing experience in in Guidewire – Policy-Claims-Billing centre / Insurance domain with Agile methodology.

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Should have excellent communication skills & should be able to articulate concisely & clearly
• Should be ready to do an individual contributor and lead role as well.
