Job summary

EY Bengaluru seeks a Technical Lead in IT Consulting Services to drive Guidewire implementations, Portal and EDGE, across global clients. Lead technical streams, mentor teams, coordinate with onsite managers, and ensure timely delivery while leveraging Java, REST, ReactJS/AngularJS and insurance domain expertise.

The role requires strong client communication, travel to customer locations as needed, and a passion for building a quality delivery culture within a diverse, globally connected EY

Qualifications

• BE/BTech/MCA with 7–10 years of industry experience in IT consulting or delivery
• Strong hands-on experience with Guidewire Portals, Portal and EDGE
• Proven leadership & mentoring capabilities for project teams
• Solid Java 8+, REST API, and modern front-end skills (ReactJS/AngularJS)
• Excellent business communication and client-facing skills
• Experience in Insurance domain, preferably Property & Casualty

Responsibilities

• Lead technical streams of Guidewire implementation projects and mentor the team
• Interface with onsite coordinators and manage project deliverables
• Plan and monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery
• Provide mentorship and coaching to project resources
• Maintain regular status reports to Manager and onsite coordinators
• Engage with customer representatives and travel to client locations as needed
• Ensure high-quality delivery and manage demanding clients

Job purpose: (part of description)

Technical Lead in the IT Consulting Services team to work on various Guidewire implementation projects with Portal and EDGE implementation for our customers across the globe.

Your client responsibilities: (part of description)

• Need to work as a team leader (technical leader) to contribute in various technical streams of Guidewire implementation project.
• Interface and communicate with the onsite coordinators
• Planning and monitoring of the project deliverables from the team.
• Mentor the project team in executing the identified projects
• Regular status reporting to the Manager and onsite coordinators
• Interface with the customer representatives as and when needed
• Willing to travel to the customers locations on need basis
• Should be able to handle demanding clients and handle the deliveries

• We are looking for the candidates with the following: BE/BTech/MCA with a sound industry experience of 7 to 10 Yrs
• You will need to have:(GW Portal and EDGE Competencies, AngularJS, ReactJS)

Mandatory skills:

• Java 8+, JSON, REST API, ReactJS/AngularJS, Javascript, HTML.
• Should have strong knowledge and experience on Tomcat and or Websphere/Weblogic
• Real time knowledge and experience on enterprise system integration, Preferably from Insurance domain background.
• Should have understanding and experience of software development best practices.
• Excellent business communication skills.
• Excellent leadership skills.
• Experience in Guidewire Portals.
• Experience in Insurance domain, preferably in Property & Casualty.
• Experience preferred: REST API, ReactJS/AngularJS, Core java, Gosu & Insurance sector domain experience.
• Good to Have: Git repository, Guidewire Certified is an added advantage, Template Design Pattern.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in GuideWire, Policy Center Configuration/ Integration/Conversion
• Experience in Insurance domain, preferably in Property & Casualty.
• Prior Client facing experience
