Job summary

Invok HR is seeking a skilled Guidewire developer to design and build components for the Claims Guidewire platform, including Claim Center and Digital Applications. You will deliver code, write unit tests and support releases with quality standards.

The role requires hands-on Guidewire experience (Gosu, Edge APIs, UI, data model), Oracle/SQL Server, and a CI/CD mindset within an Agile team. Insurance domain knowledge preferred; certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of development experience on Guidewire cloud platform and applications.
• Guidewire certification preferred.
• Hands-on development expertise on Guidewire platform (Gosu, Edge APIs, UI, Data Model).
• Experience with Oracle/SQL Server and SQL.
• Experience in CI/CD setups and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop software applications for Claims Guidewire platform, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
• Ensure code quality and compliance with Guidewire standards.
• Perform unit and integration testing; provide test support and defect fixes.
• Provide production support for Guidewire applications, investigate issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver aligned software solutions.

Job description

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Design and develop software applications: Deliver software development tasks for Claims Guidewire platform, including Claim Center and Digital Applications, with expected quality measures and timeframe, e.g., technical design, coding, writing unit test cases (G-Unit) and unit testing, debugging and defect fixing, providing test support, release support and maintenance.
• Ensure Code Quality and Compliance: Adopting best practices and tools to improve code quality, maintainability, and adherence to Guidewire coding standards resulting in compliance towards Guidewire cloud Assurance. Collaborate with team members to address any issues and ensure code quality is upheld.
• Perform testing and debugging: Conduct unit testing and integration testing of software modules to ensure their functionality and reliability. Provide Test support during various testing phases. Debug and resolve software defects to deliver bug-free software solutions.
• Application Production Support: Provide Technical support for the Guidewire Application users while troubleshooting and researching issues reported in Production, perform root cause analysis and document them, respond to and resolve technical issues in a timely manner as per priority and urgency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional team: Work closely with stakeholders, product managers, and designers to understand business requirements and user needs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and deliver software solutions that meet customer expectations.

FUNCTIONAL / TECHNICAL SKILLS

• 4+ years of development experience on Guidewire cloud platform and applications, Guidewire certification preferred
• Hands on development expertise on Guidewire platform
• Experience in Guidewire platform (Gosu scripting / Edge APIs / UI / Data Model)
• Experience on any database Oracle / SQL Server and well versed in SQL
• Experience of working in a CI/CD setup and related tools/technologies
• In-depth understanding of the software development process, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment. Familiarity with agile methodologies
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to identify and resolve complex technical problems. Ability to troubleshoot issues and implement effective solutions.
• Insurance domain knowledge with Property & Casualty background preferred
