About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and responsible GST Manager to lead and manage our entire GST department. The ideal candidate should have minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in a Chartered Accountancy firm and should be well‑versed in end‑to‑end GST compliance, advisory, audits and related assignments.

The candidate will be responsible for independently managing GST assignments, overseeing the GST team, ensuring timely compliance, and coordinating with clients and internal teams.

Educational Qualification

• B.Com / M.Com from a recognised university.
• CA Dropouts with relevant practical GST experience are also eligible.
• Candidates with additional GST/Taxation‑related qualifications or certifications will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle end-to-end GST compliances for a diverse portfolio of clients.
• Manage and oversee the entire GST department and GST team.
• Review and supervise GST returns including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, GSTR-9C, etc.
• Handle GST Annual Returns and GST Audit assignments.
• Conduct GST reconciliations, including GSTR-2B vs purchase records, ITC reconciliation and output liability reconciliation.
• Handle GST registrations, amendments, cancellations and other GST‑related applications.
• Manage GST notices, departmental communications and related proceedings.
• Provide GST‑related advisory and practical solutions to clients.
• Review GST workings prepared by team members and ensure accuracy and timely completion.
• Allocate work, monitor team performance and ensure adherence to compliance timelines.
• Coordinate directly with clients for GST‑related requirements, queries and documentation.
• Keep the team updated on changes in GST laws, notifications, circulars and relevant judicial developments.
• Ensure proper documentation, review processes and quality control across the GST department.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in a Chartered Accountancy firm is mandatory.
• Strong practical knowledge of GST laws and compliance requirements.
• Hands‑on experience in GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, GSTR-9C and GST Audit.
• Experience in handling GST notices and departmental matters will be an added advantage.
• Should have prior experience in team handling / team management.
• Should be capable of independently managing the GST function and taking complete ownership of assignments.
• Strong analytical, communication, and client‑handling skills.
• Good working knowledge of MS Excel and GST‑related software/portals.
• Candidates currently working in a Chartered Accountancy firm are preferred.
• Candidate must be residing in Navi Mumbai - this is mandatory.
