Selection Process

The selection process for the Assistant Engineer (Mechanical) post will be through a competitive examination conducted via MCQ (Multiple Choice Question) based CBRT/OMR method. The examination will consist of two parts: Part-A and Part-B.

• Part-A (90 Marks):
  • Logical Reasoning & Data Interpretation: 30 Marks
  • Mathematical Reasoning: 30 Marks
  • Indian Constitution, Current Affairs, Gujarati & English Comprehension: 30 Marks
• Part-B (120 Marks):
  • Questions related to the concerned subject (Mechanical Engineering) and its utility: 120 Marks
• Total Questions: 210 (90 for Part-A, 120 for Part-B)
• Total Time: 3 hours (180 minutes)
• Negative Marking: 1/4th of the marks allotted for each wrong answer.
• Qualifying Standard: Candidates must secure a minimum of 40% marks in Part-A and 40% marks in Part-B to qualify.
