Job summary

Sibylline Asia is seeking a Global Security Operations Centre (GSOC) Operator to monitor physical security, assess threats, and report incidents affecting business operations, employees, or facilities. You will use access control, video, and visitor management systems to respond to alarms and incidents.

The role requires strong English communication, analytical thinking, and the ability to work under pressure. Training and collaborative teamwork are emphasized in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Relevant work experience in security, research, analysis or customer service.
• College / University degree preferred.
• SOC experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
• Familiarity with Lenel and Genetec.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and ensure timely response to incidents, alarms, notifications, and calls for service.
• Ensure that all forms of communication are confidential, courteous and professional and documented appropriately.
• Maintain knowledge of the SOC-specific standard operating procedures.
• Manage life safety, alarm, communications, reporting, video management, and access control functions at designated locations.
• Investigate and respond to alarms promptly.
• Evaluate and process information from all sources, and respond with appropriate communication and dispatch procedures.
• Communicate security issues or emergencies by escalating information to leadership and emergency services.
• Regularly participate in security training programs and drills.
• Write accurate and concise reports for team members and supervisors.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Description

Position Summary

We are looking for a Global Security Operations Centre (GSOC) Operator to join our team. You will be responsible for monitoring physical security functions, detecting and assessing threats, reporting incidents, and determining impacts on business operations, employees, and facilities. Situations monitored and actioned can result from technical failures, extreme weather, political instability, crime, or terrorism.

You will use various tools to accomplish these functions, such as global access control and alarm monitoring systems, integrated video monitoring systems, enhanced visitor management systems, and in-house applications.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and ensure timely response to incidents, alarms, notifications, and calls for service
• Ensure that all forms of communication, such as emails, phone conversations, and personal interactions, are conducted in a confidential, courteous and professional manner and documented appropriately
• Maintain knowledge of the SOC-specific standard operating procedures
• Manage life safety, alarm, communications, reporting, video management, and access control functions at designated locations
• Investigate and respond to alarms promptly
• Evaluate and process information received from all available sources, and respond with appropriate communication and dispatch proceduresCommunicate security issues or emergencies by escalating information to department leadership, local law enforcement, and emergency services, such as EMTs, Fire Departments, etc
• Regularly participate in security/safety training programs to stay current on critical SOC responsibilities and competencies, including drills and tabletop exercises
• Write accurate and concise reports for team members and department supervisors
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• College / University degree preferred
• Previous Security Operations Centre (SOC) experience preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications preferred
• Familiarity with access control systems, CCTV monitoring systems, and incident management platforms. Experience with security applications including Lenel and Genetec is preferred
