Job summary

The Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Company seeks a techno-functional Oracle EPM SME to lead EPBCS design, development and support across global planning, budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting. Qualifications

Job Context:

The purpose of this role is to serve as a techno-functional Subject Matter Expert for Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM), with primary responsibility for Enterprise Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service (EPBCS) and secondary responsibility for Account Reconciliation Cloud Service (ARCS) or Profitability and Cost Management Cloud Service (PCMCS) and/or Financial Consolidation and Close Cloud Service (FCCS).

The role will be responsible for designing, implementing, enhancing, and supporting global planning, budgeting, forecasting, workforce planning, capital planning, management reporting, and financial performance management solutions across DP World entities.

The incumbent should possess strong functional expertise in budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, management reporting, financial analysis, and performance management processes, combined with deep technical expertise in Oracle Cloud EPM applications, integrations, business rules, data management, reporting, and automation.

The role will drive the adoption of AI-enabled capabilities, intelligent automation, predictive analytics, and Generative AI solutions to improve planning accuracy, management insights, operational efficiency, and user productivity.

The successful candidate should be capable of translating complex business requirements into scalable solution designs, leading global implementations and support initiatives, driving continuous improvement, mentoring team members, and promoting EPM best practices across DP World.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Act as Subject Matter as tell as technical Expert for Oracle EPBCS and provide support for ARCS, PCMCS, and/or FCCS modules.

• Design, develop and maintain planning models, business rules, calculations, forms, dashboards, reports, and workflow approvals.

• Develop and support integrations, data management processes, automation solutions, and reporting frameworks.

• Ensure application stability, performance, security, compliance, and adherence to governance standards.

• Gather, analyse, and translate business requirements into scalable planning and performance management solutions.

• Configure, test, deploy, and support Oracle EPM applications, enhancements, and upgrades.

• Support annual budgeting, periodic forecasting, long-range planning, workforce planning, and management reporting processes.

• Troubleshoot application issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive and corrective actions.

• Collaborate with Finance, HR, Commercial, Operations, IT, and business stakeholders across global regions.

• Manage relationships with implementation partners and vendors to ensure successful project delivery.

• Drive process standardization, forecasting accuracy improvements, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Identify and implement AI-enabled use cases to improve planning efficiency, variance analysis, forecasting accuracy, and management insights.

• Leverage Generative AI, Copilot, and intelligent automation tools for documentation, testing, report generation, and business analysis.

• Maintain solution documentation, operating procedures, knowledge repositories, and support artifacts.

• Mentor team members and promote Oracle EPM best practices and standards across the organization.

• Communicate project status, risks, issues, and recommendations to management and key stakeholders.

• Support EPM roadmap initiatives, platform upgrades, innovation programs, and adoption of emerging technologies.

• Perform other duties as assigned in support of enterprise EPM objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

Educational Qualifications

• CA, ACCA, CPA, ICWAI,CMA or equivalent professional qualification preferred.

• Oracle EPM certifications would be an added advantage.

Experience

• Minimum 8-12 years of relevant experience in Oracle EPM – EPBCS implementation, enhancement, and support.

• Minimum 4 full lifecycle Oracle EPBCS implementations with hands-on solution architecture, configuration, technical development of rules/​groovy etc and deployment experience.

• Minimum 2 years of production support experience for enterprise-scale EPM applications including EPBCS and at least one additional module such as FCCS, ARCS, PCMCS, or TRCS.

• Proven experience working in global organizations supporting multiple business units, entities, geographies, and reporting requirements.

• Experience in Budgeting, Forecasting, Long Range Planning, Workforce Planning, Capital Planning, and Management Reporting processes.

• Experience working with ERP integrations, master data management, reporting, and financial planning processes.

• Experience working in Ports, Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain, or similar global industries would be advantageous.

Functional & Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Data Management, EPM Integrations, Business Rules and Calculations, Groovy, Reports and Dashboards, Metadata Management, Smart View, and Financial Reporting.

• Experience with Groovy scripting, REST APIs, EPM Automate, Integration Agent, and automation frameworks is preferred.

• Deep expertise in Oracle EPBCS including: Budgeting & Forecasting, Workforce Planning, Capital Planning, Strategic & Long-Range Planning, Financial & Operational Planning, Management Reporting, Scenario & What-if Analysis, Planning Process Approvals & Workflow

• Strong expertise in at least one additional Oracle EPM module: FCCS (preferred), ARCS, PCMCS, or TRCS.

• Strong understanding of EPM dimensions, metadata management, ASO/BSO cubes, performance optimization, and application administration.

• Knowledge of Hyperion Planning, Essbase, FDMEE, and on-premise EPM platforms is good to have.

AI & Emerging Technology Skills

• Understanding of Generative AI technologies such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, and AI-enabled enterprise solutions.

• Experience identifying and delivering AI-driven automation, planning, forecasting, reporting, and analytics use cases within Finance or EPM domains.

• Knowledge of predictive planning, intelligent forecasting, and AI-assisted decision-making capabilities.

• Ability to leverage AI tools for documentation, business analysis, test case generation, support acceleration, and management insight creation.
