Job summary

DP World in Hyderabad is seeking a skilled Full-Stack Web Application Developer to design, build, and maintain terminal automation systems across multiple international terminals. You will work with Spring Boot on the back end and React on the front end, ensuring a scalable, cross-terminal codebase and high performance.

You will deploy and operate in Docker Swarm environments, collaborate with infrastructure and DBA teams, and participate in CI/CD processes.

Qualifications

Job description

The Full-Stack Web Application Developer is responsible for the development, enhancement, and maintenance of terminal automation systems, including the AGS (Automated Gate System). This role involves working with modern frameworks such as Spring Boot and React to deliver robust, scalable solutions that support operations across multiple international terminals.

The developer will manage deployment processes using Docker Swarm in production environments and ensure system stability and performance through proactive collaboration with infrastructure and database specialists. During product development and project execution, the developer will also support L2/L3 monitoring and contribute to overall system stabilization by working closely with L1 Support team, DBA and infrastructure teams.

Operating within established development pipelines and coding standards, the developer will collaborate with senior engineers and technical leads while exercising creative problem-solving and independent technical decision-making to drive the continuous improvement of terminal automation solutions.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Back-End Server Development and Enhancement: Develop and enhance the back-end server built with the Spring Boot framework. You must be able to achieve diversity while maintaining uniformity so that the single source code can operate on various terminals. Furthermore, you must be familiar with the different workflow shapes operating on multiple terminals and ensure that development and enhancement efforts do not cause side effects.
• Front-End Web Client Development and Enhancement: Develop and enhance the front-end web client built with the React framework. Like the back-end server, you must be able to achieve diversity while maintaining uniformity so that the single source code can operate on various terminals. Additionally, you must have a deep understanding of React optimization and strive for performance improvements, such as eliminating unnecessary re-rendering.
• Support Software Development and Enhancement: Develop and enhance support servers, such as test servers, that facilitate test scenarios and test environments to help the QA and installation teams conduct verification and testing smoothly. Since the product is executed in various environments, you must have a deep understanding of each operating environment and provide an environment where verification and testing can be performed reflecting those specific conditions.
• Ensuring Stable Deployment and Smooth Operation: Deploy the system using Docker Swarm to maintain maximum availability. In collaboration with infrastructure specialists, ensure the system operates with high availability to cope with network or database failures. An understanding of CI/CD is needed to enable periodic deployment of updated content, along with the ability to roll back the system in the shortest possible time in case of failure.
• System Maintenance and L2/L3 Support: In collaboration with DBA and infrastructure teams, support L2/L3 monitoring and contribute to the stable operation of existing AGS systems across international terminals, including timely resolution of system incidents.
• Able to manage the team as part lead, if required, to ensure reporting member’s output is aligned with the overall Team’s goal of delivering the results in timebound & effective manner.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Closely collaborate with team leaders and other teams to participate in the entire development process, fully engaging in overall development, deployment, and operation.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

Education & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong academic record with a keen interest in Web Development, Software Engineering, System Architecture, and Database Management.

Experience:

• 5-8 years of experience in Back-End Server Development (using frameworks like Spring Boot, Node.js).
• 3-6 years of experience in Front-End Web Client Development (using frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js).
• Experience with deployment and operation using container environments such as Docker or Docker swarm.

Skills:

• Back-End & API Development: Solid understanding of RESTful API design, server-side architecture, multi-terminal configuration management, and the ability to develop scalable back-end systems that support diverse operational workflows.
• Front-End Development: Proficiency in React, including component lifecycle management, state management (e.g., Redux, Context API), and performance optimization techniques such as memorization and elimination of unnecessary re-rendering.
• Software Engineering Best Practices: Strong knowledge of version control (Git), branching strategies, code review processes, unit/integration testing, and documentation standards to ensure code quality and maintainability.
• System Stability & Maintenance: Ability to perform proactive system monitoring, conduct root cause analysis, and provide L2/L3 support to minimize downtime and ensure high availability across multiple international terminal sites.
• English Communication Skills: Professional fluency in English (both written and spoken) is required. The developer must be able to effectively communicate technical requirements, participate in international meetings, produce technical documentation, and collaborate with global clients and cross-functional teams across different time zones
