Job summary

ConsultMeIn Private Limited, Bengaluru, is seeking a Group Leader for Data Science, AI/ML Engineering to steer end-to-end GenAI and ML programs in a global delivery setup.

You will lead a cross-functional team of data scientists, ML engineers and MLOps specialists, architect scalable delivery frameworks, and own delivery commitments.

The role requires hands-on AI/ML expertise with people leadership, strong communication across time zones, and a track record of production-grade AI solutions.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience delivering Data Science, GenAI and ML solutions into production.
• Strong experience with Azure ML, Azure OpenAI Service, AKS and Azure DevOps.
• Strong MLOps expertise covering containerization, CI/CD, deployment, monitoring and ML/LLM reliability.
• Experience developing agentic/LLM applications, with LangGraph or comparable frameworks.
• Excellent stakeholder communication skills with the ability to work across global time zones and business functions.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from a tier-1 university preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of Data Science, AI/ML and GenAI solutions from ideation through production.
• Lead Forward-Deployed Engineering (FDE) for GenAI, partnering directly with business teams to production‑read AI solutions.
• Build, mentor and grow a high‑performing team of Data Scientists, AI/ML Engineers and MLOps professionals.
• Establish scalable delivery frameworks, engineering standards, CI/CD, testing, evaluation and release processes.
• Own delivery commitments across scope, timelines, quality and cost.
• Ensure reliability and SLA performance of enterprise AI/ML platforms and pipelines.
• Manage MLOps, monitoring, incident response and platform cost management.
• Lead and manage offshore consulting partners, ensuring quality and accountability.
• Partner closely with global Data Science, AI Engineering and ML Engineering leadership across North America.

Experience: 12 – 16 Years

Our client is looking for a strong technology leader to lead Data Science, AI Engineering, ML Engineering and MLOps. This is a strategic leadership role for someone who can combine hands‑on AI/ML expertise with people leadership, engineering excellence and global delivery ownership.

What You’ll Lead

What We’re Looking For

• Hands‑on experience delivering Data Science, GenAI and ML solutions into production
• Strong experience with Azure ML, Azure OpenAI Service, AKS and Azure DevOps
• Strong MLOps expertise covering containerization, CI/CD, deployment, monitoring and ML/LLM reliability
• Experience developing agentic/LLM applications, with LangGraph or comparable frameworks
• Strong production‑quality Python skills
• Proven experience hiring, mentoring and developing Data Scientists and AI/ML Engineers
• Experience establishing delivery frameworks, SLAs and operating processes
• Excellent stakeholder communication skills with the ability to work across global time zones and business functions

Preferred

Experience in a GCC / hub‑and‑spoke operating model, CPG, retail or large‑enterprise environments, along with exposure to Snowflake Cortex, semantic views, text‑to‑SQL agents and Responsible AI practices. Must have a bachelors degree in computer science (preferably tier 1 engineering college/university)
