Populux HR is seeking a Strategic Finance & Business Partnership leader to partner with the Managing Director on strategic planning, investments, and profitability improvements across multiple dealership locations in Kerala. The role drives financial strategy aligned with growth objectives and provides actionable insights to guide major business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Managing Director on strategic planning, business expansion, investments, and profitability improvements.
• Drive financial strategy aligned with the organization’s long-term vision and growth objectives.
• Provide actionable financial insights to support key business decisions.
• Evaluate new business opportunities, acquisitions, and capital investment proposals.
• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning.
• Monitor business performance through MIS and financial dashboards.
• Analyse profitability by business vertical, branch, product line, and department.
• Recommend strategies to improve margins, optimize costs, and enhance operational efficiency.
• Develop financial KPIs across all dealership operations.
• Conduct periodic business reviews with business heads.
• Identify revenue enhancement opportunities and cost optimization initiatives.
• Drive accountability for financial performance across locations.
• Manage cash flow, liquidity, banking relationships, and working capital.
• Optimize inventory funding and dealership financing structures.
• Oversee debt management and capital allocation.
• Strengthen internal controls, risk management frameworks, and financial governance.
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, accounting standards, and taxation requirements.
• Oversee internal and external audits.
• Lead and mentor the finance and accounts team across multiple locations.
• Build a high-performance finance organization.
• Promote automation, process improvements, and digital finance initiatives.
• Act as the principal financial advisor to the Managing Director.
• Prepare Board presentations, financial reports, and strategic business reviews.
• Support investor, banker, and stakeholder presentations where required.
• Participate in executive decision-making and organization-wide strategic initiatives.
• Provide confidential financial analysis and recommendations for critical business decisions.

Business Performance Management:

• Develop financial KPIs across all dealership operations.
• Conduct periodic business reviews with business heads.

Treasury & Working Capital Management:

• Manage cash flow, liquidity, banking relationships, and working capital.

Financial Controls & Governance:

• Strengthen internal controls, risk management frameworks, and financial governance.
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, accounting standards, and taxation requirements.
• Oversee internal and external audits.

Accounting & Compliance:

• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
• Manage GST, Income Tax, Companies Act, and other regulatory compliance.
• Liaise with auditors, banks, financial institutions, and regulatory authorities.

Leadership & Team Development:

• Lead and mentor the finance and accounts team across multiple locations.
• Build a high-performance finance organization.
• Promote automation, process improvements, and digital finance initiatives.

MD Office Responsibilities:

• Act as the principal financial advisor to the Managing Director.
