Beyond core financial oversight, the ideal candidate will be a commercial-minded leader who can translate financial data into actionable insights, driving long-term financial stability, sustainable growth, and capital efficiency. This role requires a blend of exceptional financial acumen, regulatory knowledge within the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) sector, and a forward-thinking, tech-enabled mindset.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy Development: Collaborate with Founders and senior leadership to develop, implement, and monitor a robust long-term financial strategy aligned with Capitalmind's ambitious growth objectives.
AOP & Budgeting: Direct the preparation, review, and consolidation of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), capital expenditure budgets, and rolling financial forecasts across all business units.
Commercial Insights: Provide deep commercial analysis on new product launches, market expansion initiatives, and pricing strategies to optimize profitability and return on invested capital.
Performance Monitoring: Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and driver-based financial models to monitor business performance against the strategic plan.
Board & Founder Advisory: Serve as a core member of the leadership team, providing the Founders with proactive financial insights, scenario analysis, and recommendations on key strategic decisions (e.g., fundraising, M&A, partnerships).
Risk Framework: Define, implement, and maintain a comprehensive enterprise risk management (ERM) framework, proactively identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial, operational, market, and credit risks.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure stringent compliance with all financial, tax, corporate, and SEBI regulations applicable to the RIA and PMS licenses and overall corporate entities (including the Companies Act, GST, Income Tax, and relevant SEBI Circulars).
Internal Controls: Establish and oversee robust internal financial controls (IFC), processes, and policies to safeguard assets, ensure data integrity, and prevent fraud.
Audit Management: Manage internal and external audit processes, serving as the primary liaison with statutory auditors and regulatory bodies (e.g., SEBI) during inspections and queries.
Insurance Oversight: Oversee the group’s corporate insurance portfolio, ensuring adequate coverage for key risks.
Financial Operations: Oversee all core financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, tax compliance (direct and indirect), and cash flow management.
Systems & Automation: Drive the continuous improvement and digitization of the finance function, leveraging technology (ERP, accounting software, and internal tools) for greater efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
Accounting Policies: Establish and enforce consistent accounting policies and practices across the group, ensuring alignment with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS).
Treasury & Fund Management: Optimize the group's treasury function, managing banking relationships, investing surplus funds efficiently while adhering to liquidity needs and regulatory constraints.
Board & Shareholder Reporting: Produce accurate, timely, and insightful monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the Board, Founders, and key shareholders.
Regulatory Reporting: Oversee the timely and accurate filing of all required financial returns and disclosures with SEBI, the Registrar of Companies (RoC), and tax authorities.
Management Dashboards: Develop and maintain intuitive management dashboards that translate complex financial data into clear business insights for functional heads and the leadership team.
Fund Performance Reporting Support: Collaborate with the operations and investment teams to support the accurate and compliant reporting of PMS fund performance to clients and regulators.
Qualifications:
