Job Description

Applications are invited from eligible officers of Central Government, State Government, Public Sector Undertakings, Autonomous Bodies, and Universities for the position of Assistant Research Officer on a deputation basis/foreign service. Vacancy Details

• Number of Posts: 3 (Three) [1 vacancy will arise on 01.02.2024]
• Scale of Pay: Pay matrix level – 7; Rs. 44,900-1,42,400

Qualification and Experience

• Qualification: M.Sc. in Microbiology, Applied Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Immunology, or B.Tech. in Biotechnology/Industrial Biotechnology, or B.Pharm, or M.Sc. in Medical Microbiology, Medical Pharmacology, Medical Biochemistry.
• Desirable: M.Tech./M.Pharm./Ph.D. in relevant fields.
• Experience: 3 years working experience in the Manufacturing/testing of biological/pharma products

Eligibility

• Officers under the Central Government/State Government/ PSUs/Autonomous Bodies/Universities:
  • Holding analogous posts on a regular basis in the parent cadre/department, or
  • With 5 years of service in the grade rendered after appointment on a regular basis in pay matrix level – 6 or equivalent.
• Possessing the educational qualifications and experience prescribed above.

Recruitment Method and Term

• Recruitment Method: On deputation basis/Foreign service
• Term of Engagement: The period of deputation shall ordinarily not exceed 3 years

General Conditions for Application

1. Maximum age limit for deputation appointment: 56 years.
2. Terms and conditions of deputation governed by DOP&T’s OM No.6/8/2009-Estt. (Pay II) dated 17.06.2010.
3. Application must be sent in the prescribed format (Annexure – I) to the Director, Pasteur Institute of India, Coonoor.
4. Applications should be supported by relevant documents, Cadre clearance (Annexure – II), Vigilance clearance, and photocopies of APARs for the last 5 years.
5. Applications must be received by 01.11.2023, and the envelope should be superscribed as “Application for the posts of Assistant Research Officer on deputation basis/foreign service”.
6. Departmental Officers in the feeder category and deputationists have specific eligibility considerations.
7. Officers selected have the option for pay and deputation (duty) allowance.
