Qualcomm is looking for an experienced engineer to develop and optimize graphics workloads as part of our GPU architecture team. You will collaborate with hardware architects to enhance GPU performance and functionality, exploring emerging algorithms and optimizations.
The ideal candidate should hold a Master's degree in a relevant field and have at least 8 years of experience in GPU systems engineering, along with proficiency in Vulkan, DirectX, OpenGL, and familiarity with modern game engine architectures.
Develop, analyze and optimize emerging graphics workloads. Build functional models and microbenchmarks to gain deeper understanding of GPU hardware and make recommendations. Identify and quantify performance bottlenecks and resolve them through hardware or software optimizations. Work closely with hardware architects to develop new features for next‑generation GPU architecture. Explore emerging algorithms in the 3D graphics domain, including literature survey, competitive analysis, research on shortcomings and propose changes that benefit Adreno GPU performance, power and functionality.
