Graphics/GPU Driver Development Engineer

THE ROLE: The right engineer will drive the success of power IP and features in AMD products through leadership & coordination, resolution of technical dependencies, and achievement of schedule commits. This is a high‑visibility and widely multi‑functional role, spanning pre‑silicon architecture to post‑silicon implementation & product delivery.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Engineer with 10+ years of experience in embedded Linux driver/kernel development.
• Strong C development skills.
• Experience with any one of the driver development domains: Graphics driver – DRM/KMS, OpenGL, Vulkan, OpenCL, Mesa; Media‑Video driver – Vaapi, vdpau, gstreamer, v4l2; Power management – System to RAM, S0ix3; Display Driver development – X, Wayland, Weston, Display driver; Audio subsystem – Audio drivers, frameworks, ALSA SOC (ASOC); Audio protocols – I2S/TDM; Virtualization – Xen, KVM, QNX hypervisor knowledge.
• Good working experience with IPC, DMA driver development.
• Experience with kernel mode driver programming in Linux.
• Linux Device driver programming experience in Linux Kernel and Drivers.
• Experience dealing with Linux community and Open Source contribution a plus.
• System knowledge, System Debugging.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
