Job summary

Qualcomm is looking for an experienced engineer to develop and enhance its power-efficient GPU solutions. The role involves testing graphics languages, developing automation tools primarily with Python or Perl, and working within multi-disciplinary teams to support ongoing projects.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, 2–6 years of hands-on experience in automation development, and familiarity with CI/CD tools like Docker and Jenkins. Knowledge in C/C++ and graphics will be advantageous.

Overview

Our power‑efficient GPU solution enables new markets such as VR, IoT, AI, drones, and autonomous driving. The GPU compiler, a key component of this solution, requires engineering talent to develop world‑class, low‑power graphics and compute products. Engineers will collaborate with compiler developers to test and verify graphics languages and targets, and build high‑quality automation tools.

Responsibilities

• Test and verify various graphics languages and development targets.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance automation frameworks and tools, primarily using Python (preferred) or Perl.
• Debug hardware and simulation models to resolve issues.
• Plan and execute product software integration, testing, and build/release activities.
• Collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams and provide input to cross‑functional initiatives.

Qualifications

• 2–6 years of hands‑on experience in automation development, Python or Perl.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Strong communication skills across multiple levels and disciplines.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Docker, Microsoft Azure, Jenkins.
• Knowledge of C/C++ programming; graphics knowledge is a plus.
• Experience with Android and Windows build systems, integration, issue analysis, and resolution.
• Experience with Linux/Windows continuous integration and build system enhancement.
• Familiarity with smartphone development environments (e.g. Android SDK) is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced automation development experience using Python or Perl.
• Exposure to CI/CD tools like Docker, Microsoft Azure, Jenkins.
• Background in C/C++ and graphics.
• Experience with Linux/Windows integration and continuous integration development.
• Familiarity with smartphone development environments.
