Job summary

Qualifications

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office PowerPoint, Word and intermediate Excel.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe CC (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign) and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
  • Excellent organisational skills, able to work efficiently under pressure and multi-task to meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail with a focus on quality and consistency.
  • Experience designing and using templates in a corporate in-house design environment.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high quality bid submissions and presentations by coordinating with design leader and bid managers.
  • Create PowerPoint and Word templates for client presentations and improve layout of slides.
  • Provide advanced formatting support for PowerPoint/Word and Excel charting.
  • Tailor pitch materials to client requirements and manage document review stages.
  • Oversee final production of bid documents and liaise with printers and suppliers.

Job Description – Graphic Designer: Marsh Risk

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Sales Enablement CoE team at Marsh. This role will be based in Mumbai. Candidates must be able to work UK business hours (i.e. 11:30AM – 8:30PM IST/7AM – 4PM GMT) and may occasionally need to work beyond those hours to meet deadlines.

The Sales Enablement CoE supports various Marsh businesses worldwide primarily across Proposal & Bid Management, Client Research and Creative Services.

The individual will support our UK Corporate business. Working with the design leader in the UK business, you will support our team in producing RFP responses in Word and PowerPoint. Contributing to high profile transactions, you will be flexible and resilient while working within tight timeframes.

A role in the Creative Services team will expose you to a fast-paced environment and give you the chance of working with senior stakeholders. Working with the design leader, you will ascertain scope of work/objectives, agreeing deliverables and time frames. You will lead your own projects and receive exposure to all sectors within Marsh Risk.

We will count on you to:

Deliver high quality bid submissions and presentations by:

  • Working alongside the design leader and bid managers, you will ascertain scope of work/objectives, agreeing deliverables and time frames
  • Creating new PowerPoint and Word templates for client presentations
  • Working on improving layout of presentations and placemats as per guidelines, suggesting improvements and designing alternate layouts/charts/diagrams
  • Providing advanced formatting support for PowerPoint and Word documents and Excel charting, including redesigning slides in PowerPoint
  • Tailoring pitch materials to specific client requirements or to convey key messages
  • Having custody of key documents through the editing/review/proofing stages
  • Supporting our bid centre with ad-hoc design related requests
  • Working on layout copy, tables and graphs of final bid submission documents
  • Sourcing imagery, developing and researching concepts, designing or working with existing layout templates, developing concepts and submitting for approval
  • Overseeing final production of bid submission documents where required, including liaising with printers and other suppliers
  • Creating final PDF submission by consolidating various documents/components (covers, dividers and attachments etc)
  • Other layout/design requests as required which may include development and production of flyers, brochures, advertisements and fact sheets
  • Embedding video/audio/Flash components as required

You will also be required to:

  • Assist the team with updating business materials and resources, including the development of material for our Automated Bid system (PowerPoint template)
  • Assist with general MS Office requests and template/document troubleshooting
  • Image search using photo libraries as required
  • Concept development and template development
  • Uphold corporate branding to ensure consistency with style guide
  • Update work tracking systems and maintaining a high standard of procedural work practices

What you need to have:

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office PowerPoint, Word, intermediate Excel
  • Working knowledge of Adobe CC (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign) and Adobe Acrobat Pro
  • Excellent organisational skills, the ability to work efficiently under pressure and multi-task to meet deadlines

  • Proven ability to work as part of a team and build relationships with internal stakeholders and colleagues
  • Excellent eye for layout and design
  • Experience designing, developing and using templates
  • Relevant experience working in a corporate in-house design/presentation/document preparation environment
  • Adept at problem solving and a quick learner
  • Preference for working in a fast-paced environment

  • Certified Adobe designer/Graphic design pertinent degree with corporate design expertise
  • Proficiency in motion graphics, video production, audio/video editing and animation using Adobe Premiere Pro, After effects and Audition

  • In-depth understanding of visual system and management of multiple brand identities
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise time effectively
  • Adaptable and able to pick up new technologies

  • Experience of directly dealing with senior internal stakeholders preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a globally matrixed and significantly multi-geography, multi-cultural offshore service delivery environment
