Job summary

Worldwide Clinical Trials is seeking a Grants Payments Data Analyst to forecast and report on clinical site payments, integrating financial and operational data to drive accurate predictions across studies.

You will work with Revenue Recognition, Clinical Payments, and Project Analysis teams to align forecasting with broader processes and ensure audit-ready outputs for client reporting and sponsor requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance or related field.
• 2–5 years of finance experience.
• Experience with Excel, databases, and accounting systems.
• Knowledge of revenue recognition principles.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and improve forecasting models used outside of Medidata Payments.
• Collaborate with Central Planning and Clinical Operations to analyze site and patient enrollment actuals and forecasts.
• Integrate forecasting outputs with Medidata Payments forecasts for end-to-end site payment planning.
• Coordinate with Revenue Recognition to ensure forecasting processes meet audit and compliance requirements.
• Create client-ready forecasting reports and deliverables per sponsor contracts.
• Analyze forecast performance, budget utilization, and plan-versus-actual results to identify trends and risks.
• Communicate variances to Project Analysts and Global Project Leads for timely action.
• Support study closeout activities through final payment reconciliations and reporting.
• Contribute to process development and continuous improvement initiatives for forecasting and reporting.

Make an Impact as a Grants Payments Data Analyst at Worldwide
As a Grants Payments Data Analyst, you’ll play a key role in shaping how clinical site payments are forecasted and reported. Your work will help bring together critical financial and operational data, supporting accurate forecasting and informed decision-making across clinical studies.
In this role, you'll take ownership of forecasting models used outside of Medidata Payments, driving ongoing enhancements and ensuring alignment with broader payment forecasting processes. You’ll collaborate with teams across Revenue Recognition, Clinical Payments, Investigator Grants Payments, Project Analysis, and Clinical Operations to develop efficient, audit-ready forecasting solutions.
Your expertise will help deliver accurate client-facing financial forecasts, support compliance with financial reporting requirements, and contribute to the successful management and reconciliation of clinical site payments throughout the study lifecycle.

This is a REMOTE role open to candidates based in India. You will collaborate with global teams across multiple time zones.
Travel for this role is remote-based and may be required only as specified by business needs.

What You'll Do

• Develop, maintain, and continuously improve forecasting models used outside of Medidata Payments.
• Partner with Central Planning and Clinical Operations teams to gather and analyze site and patient enrollment actuals and forecasts.
• Integrate forecasting outputs with Medidata Payments forecasts to support end-to-end clinical site payment planning.
• Collaborate with Revenue Recognition teams to ensure forecasting processes meet financial audit and compliance requirements.
• Create client-ready forecasting reports and deliverables in accordance with sponsor contractual requirements.
• Analyze forecast performance, budget utilization, and plan-versus-actual results to identify trends and risks.
• Communicate over- and under-forecast variances to Project Analysts and Global Project Leads, enabling timely corrective action.
• Support study closeout activities through final payment reconciliations and preparation of client-ready financial reports.
• Contribute to process development and continuous improvement initiatives related to clinical site payment forecasting and reporting.

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree and 2–5 years of finance experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial and operational data.
• Experience working with Excel, databases, and accounting systems.
• Understanding of accounting principles and revenue recognition standards.
• Knowledge of clinical site payment processes and forecasting methodologies.
• Ability to influence, collaborate, and challenge stakeholders constructively across cross-functional teams.
• Experience supporting audit requirements, financial reporting, and compliance-related activities.
• Proficiency in English.
