Job summary

Wipro is seeking an experienced Grafana L3 Engineer/Administrator to manage and support enterprise Grafana environments. The role emphasizes hands-on Grafana administration, dashboard engineering, and observability across infrastructure and cloud platforms.

Ideal candidates will design advanced dashboards, integrate Prometheus, Loki, Tempo, Mimir, Elasticsearch, and cloud monitoring services, and automate tasks with Python/Bash.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of IT experience with strong hands-on Grafana administration and monitoring.
• Experience with Grafana Enterprise/Open Source installation, configuration, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of LGTM stack: Loki, Grafana, Tempo, Mimir, and Prometheus.
• Hands-on experience implementing observability solutions using OpenTelemetry.
• Expertise in dashboard development, alert management, and monitoring best practices.
• Experience integrating Grafana with databases and monitoring tools.
• Strong understanding of Linux administration.
• Good SQL knowledge and database connectivity/integration experience.
• Experience with AWS and/or Azure monitoring services.
• Knowledge of incident, event, capacity, and performance monitoring processes.
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise monitoring environments.
• Scripting knowledge in Python or Bash for automation.

Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and maintain Grafana environments.

• Optimize Grafana platform performance, scalability, reliability, and availability.
• Manage Grafana security, RBAC, LDAP/SSO/OAuth authentication, and access controls.
• Automate administration activities using Grafana APIs, Python/Bash scripting, and IaC tools.
• Perform upgrades, migrations, backup, restore, and disaster recovery activities.
• Collaborate with SRE, DevOps, Cloud, and Application teams to enhance observability and monitoring solutions.

• 1. Provide tool design, development and deployment support for the project delivery
  • a. Interact with the internal project or client to understand the project requirement from a tool perspective
  • b. Design the solution keeping in mind the tool requirements, current tools available as well as details on licenses required etc.
  • c. Provide budget and timeline estimates for the tool development/ deployment as required
  • d. For any new tool development, identify sources for development (internal or 3rd party) and work with the project managers on the development of the tool keeping in mind the production rollout timelines
  • e. Conduct commercial discussions with the 3rd party vendors for licenses or tool development
  • f. Conduct appropriate testing to ensure error free deployment of the tool on the project
  • g. Ensure deployment of tool on time and within the estimated budget
