Job summary

Barry-Wehmiller Design Group in Chennai invites a Design Engineer, Electrical with 0–2 years experience to contribute to sustaining facilities electrical design for site distribution systems.

You will develop electrical designs for manufacturing power distribution and lighting, collaborate with architects, engineers and contractors on projects, review drawings, and ensure NEC compliance while working on multiple projects. Proficiency in REVIT and AutoCAD is expected.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years experience in low/medium voltage power and electrical drawings in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge in design of Electrical Power layouts, Lighting layouts, wiring diagrams, cable trays and Electrical location layouts in REVIT.
• Proficient with REVIT and AutoCAD for creating design drawings and 3D models.
• Strong written and verbal technical communication including generating reports and conducting group presentations.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical designs for manufacturing power distribution and lighting systems.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers and contractors on new construction/renovation projects.
• Review electrical design specifications and drawings.
• Designing low & medium-voltage electrical distribution systems including MCCs, generators, transformers, low voltage substations, UPS.

Job Summary:

The Design Engineer, Electrical will provide sustaining facilities electrical engineering designsupport for our clients’ site electrical distribution systems.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) or Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering

Responsibilities:

• Develop electrical designs for manufacturing power distribution and lighting systems.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers and contractors on new construction/renovation projects.
• Review electrical design specifications and drawings.
• Designinglow & medium-voltage electrical distribution systems. To include MCC’s, generators, transformers, low voltage substations, UPS.
• Review cost estimates and budgets.
• Work on multiple projects.
• Maintain current NEC codes knowledge.
• Read and interpret design drawings and specifications.

Requirements:

• 0-2 years experience in areas such as low and medium voltage power, easy power, load flow analysis, and electrical engineering drawings in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge in design of Electrical Power layouts, Lighting layouts, wiring diagrams, cable trays and Electrical location layouts in REVIT.
• Good Understanding of Design/Build (Engineering and Construction).
• Knowledge in electrical as-built drawings that are incorporated into master CAD drawings
• Knowledge in Revit andAutoCAD software to create design drawings and 3D models.
• Proficient with written and verbal technical communication including generating reports and conducting group presentations.
