Job summary

BW Design Group in Chennai is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our Pre-Construction team. You will prepare accurate electrical quantity estimates from BIM models and electrical drawings to support planning and budgeting for US-based projects.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's or Diploma in electrical trades, 3+ years of estimation experience, Revit proficiency, and strong English communication to collaborate with internal teams.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Diploma in Electrical Trade.
• Experience: Minimum 3+ years in electrical quantity estimation.
• Technical Skills: Revit proficiency for extracting quantities from BIM models.
• Communication: Strong English communication skills (verbal and written).
• Project Experience: Experience with US-based projects (highly preferable)

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Electrical Estimator to join our Pre-Construction team in Chennai. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate electrical quantity estimates from BIM models and electrical drawings, supporting project planning and budgeting. You'll work with the Pre-Construction Manager to ensure precise estimations for electrical components and systems from the planning stage through pre-construction phases.

• Extract and compile electrical quantity estimates from Revit BIM models
• Read and interpret electrical drawings to identify and quantify electrical items
• Prepare detailed electrical quantity assessments and take-offs for projects
• Support project planning with accurate technical estimates and specifications
• Maintain organized documentation and estimation databases
• Communicate effectively with internal pre-construction teams
• Collaborate with team members on project feasibility and planning
