Job summary

MillerKnoll in Bengaluru, India, is seeking a Data Vocabulary Specialist to join our product data management team. You will build and maintain data vocabulary for 2D/3D representations, BOMs, textures, and CAD-derived models.

The role expects a strong background in PDM/PIM, scripting familiarity, and the ability to collaborate across Scrum teams to ensure data quality and timely releases. We welcome diverse backgrounds and offer an inclusive environment with opportunities to impact design

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent (Mechanical/Civil or related) with 4 years of relevant experience and total experience of 6+ years.
• Experience in scripting languages is a plus; MS Access/MS SQL etc. preferred.
• Passionate about data processing, results-oriented and self-driven.
• Detail oriented with analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to understand architecture/frameworks quickly and deliver solutions.
• Highly motivated and organized to achieve monthly product release cycles.
• Good communication skills in English (verbal and written).
• Able to work across multi-regional teams with predefined priorities.
• Willing to work shifts (01:00 PM to 09:00 PM).

• Collaborate with internal teams to gather data for CET Designer/pCon and other platforms.

• Follow processes and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Communicate client/dealer requirements fluently through project stages.

Data Vocabulary Specialist

Job Description

We are looking for a self-driven passionate skilled Product Data Analyst equipped with good experience in product data management or product information management domain. Candidates having sound experience in PDM/PIM systems or similar are ideal we cater to a product development team working on industry leading space planning and visualization technology.

Responsibilities

• Individually develop/contribute and maintain data vocabulary content for our custom extensions.
• Build data vocabulary for our product offerings represented in 2D and 3D(visualization), which includes models (converted from CAD formats), bill of materials, texture materials etc.
• Perform self-test and evaluation of data to ensure it is not faulty before sending it to QA for a formal review.
• Work with internal teams to collate the data required to support our product in the different software platforms (CET Designer/pCon).
• Work in a highly agile environment using Scrum methodology
• Work as a member of a Scrum team that includes software developers, quality assurance testers, and product owners
• Comply with existing processes and contribute toward continuous improvement.
• Capable of understanding client’s/dealer’s requirements and communicate with them fluently during various stages of the projects.

Skills &Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science Information Technology or equivalent or other (Mechanical Civil or relevant) with 4 years of relevant experience and overall experience of 6 or more years.
• Experience in any scripting languages is significant advantage and will be preferred - MS Access/MS SQL and etc.
• Passionate about data processing, results oriented and self-driven.
• Should be detail oriented and possess analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to quickly understand the architecture and frameworks and quickly deliver solutions by maintaining, extending/adapting the existing architecture
• Highly self-motivated and organized to achieve the monthly product release cycles.
• Good communication skills verbal and written (English).
• Ability to work to predefine priorities as part of a multi-regional team.
• Should be willing to be flexible in terms of working shifts (00pm to 9.00pm).
