Job summary

Volvo Group in Karnataka offers a 1-year on-the-job training under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme for engineering graduates and diploma holders.

As an apprentice, you will assist in absenteeism management, recruitment support, contract labour coordination, training coordination, payroll input support, and welfare activities, working with a collaborative team to shape sustainable transport solutions.

Qualifications

• Educational: BBA or any relavent qualification.
• Preferred skills: Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Manage plant absenteeism and ensure 100% availability with stakeholders.
• Recruit, onboard and induct fixed-term employees and graduate trainee apprentices.
• Manage contract labour recruitment, onboarding, attendance (biometric) and monthly reports; ensure compliance and dashboards.
• Coordinate NTTF training for land contributor trainees.
• Assist in developing employee relations policies.
• Assist in payroll input and wage administration.
• Assist with employee initiatives and welfare activities.

This role is offered under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS), a flagship initiative of the Government of India designed to equip Indian youth with practical, trade-specific skills. Administered under the provisions of the Apprentices Act, 1961 (amended in 1973), this program at Volvo Group offers engineering graduates and diploma holders a structured, 1-year practical, hands-on On-the-Job Training (OJT) opportunity to build industry-ready capabilities.

• Plant Absenteeism Management: Prepare and present day-to-day absenteeism and support to ensure 100% availability of people in coordination with all stake holders.
• Support Recruitment, onboarding & Induction of Fixed term employees, Graduate Apprentice trainees.
• Contract labour Management: Recruitment, Onboarding, Induction, Attendance Management. (Biometric and monthly reports), Statutory compliance, Dashboard preparations, Job rotation, Awareness activities.
• NTTF training coordination for Land contributor trainees.
• Support in developing Policy related to Employee Relations.
• Support in Salary & Wage administration (Support to prepare monthly Payroll input).
• Support employee initiatives & welfare activities such as Birthday celebrations, Transportation, family day celebration, sports day, Ayudha pooja, Karnataka Rajyotsava etc.
