About SECL

South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) is the highest coal-producing company in India. The coal mines of SECL are spread across two states, namely Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh. SECL operates 65 coal mines, of which 39 are located in Chhattisgarh, while the remaining 26 are in Madhya Pradesh. Out of these 65 coal mines, 46 are operated using underground mining methods, while the remaining 19 are opencast mines.

In addition to its mining operations, SECL is also responsible for the operational aspects of the coal carbonization plant at Dankuni Coal Complex. However, the Dankuni Coal Complex, located in Dankuni, West Bengal, has been leased out by Coal India Limited (CIL).

Minimum Qualifications

1. Must be Matriculate and have passed the Pharmacist exam from an institute recognized or approved by the Government and registered with the Pharmacy Council with a valid registration under the Pharmacy Act 1948.
2. Alternatively, must be Matriculate with a Diploma in Pharmacy and registered with the Pharmacy Council under the Pharmacy Act 1948 with valid registration.

Remarks

(a) All Pharmacists must be registered with the Pharmacy Council of their respective state. (b) The Diploma in Pharmacy must be recognized or approved by the Pharmacy Council, whether Central or State.

Notes

1. Experience, if applicable, should be relevant and acquired after obtaining the minimum essential qualification.
2. Ensure submission of all documents, duly verified by the issuing authority, when forwarding applications.
3. The advertised vacancies are as mentioned in the notice. However, having a degree or higher qualification does not automatically qualify for a higher post.

Written Test

• Total Marks: 100
• Pattern: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) containing 100 questions, each worth 1 mark.
• The test will be conducted on OMR sheets.
• No negative marking for wrong answers.

Qualifying Marks

• General Category: 40% of total marks.
• SC/ST Category: 35% of total marks.

Required Information / Guidelines for Applicant Employees

1. Sample Application Form: Annexure (1) is enclosed. Read the sample carefully and complete it. Incomplete or late applications will be rejected. The original copy of the application must be sent.
2. Eligible Applicants: Applications in the prescribed form from SECL and other subsidiary companies of CIL Kolkata and departmental employees at CIL Headquarters, Kolkata, will be accepted. The application form can also be downloaded from the SECL website.
3. Application Deadline: Submit the application form at your respective workplace (SECL Region / Other Subsidiary Company / CIL Headquarters Kolkata) by 01.07.2024. Applications will be scrutinized by the Regional Personnel Manager / Other Subsidiaries / CIL HQ Kolkata through the General Manager (Personnel / O.S. / NEE.) and sent to the Chief Manager (K. / Sr.), SECL HQ, Bilaspur.
4. Work Nature Specification: Applicants must specify whether their work is underground or surface in their application.
5. Required Documents:
   • Self-signed copy of the mark sheet/certificate for matriculate and higher educational qualifications.
   • Self-signed copy of the mark sheet/certificate for technical and professional qualifications.
   • Self-signed copy of the Medical Registration Certificate issued by the Pharmacy Council for the post of Pharmacist.
   • Self-signed copy of the Permanent Caste Certificate for SC/ST category employees. (The officer issuing the caste certificate should be Tehsildar or above.)
6. Verification: Any deliberate concealment of facts or false information during the selection process or anytime in the future will result in the immediate cancellation of the applicant’s candidature and disciplinary action under the company’s certified standing order.

Other Essential Conditions

1. Salary Protection: The salary of selected employees will be protected as per rules.
2. Posting Locations: Selected employees will be posted in various SECL areas based on vacancy and requirement. Hence, departmental employees should apply carefully. Failure to take charge at the place of posting after selection or requesting selection cancellation after taking charge will result in a two-year ban from SECL’s non-officer cadre selection process.
3. Written Examination: Applications will be scrutinized at SECL Headquarters. Eligible applicants will be listed and called for a written examination at SECL Headquarters, Bilaspur. The date and venue will be informed separately.
4. Travel Allowance: Applicants will be eligible for fare and travel allowance of the authorized class as per CIL TA/DA rules.
