HSBC Software Development India in Pune is seeking a Governance and Programme Management Lead/Consultant Specialist. The role focuses on governance, compliance coordination and high-level stakeholder engagement in a hybrid work setting.

The candidate will manage governance activities, budgets, and cross-functional collaboration with senior leaders, ensuring accurate reporting and risk management across OpCo and control functions.

• Lead entity compliance and governance activities, maintaining obligations, records, governance forums, audits and remediation actions.
• Support OpCo and operational management through effective meeting coordination, cross-functional collaboration, management information and issue follow-up.
• Manage role-based learning, training and certification programmes, including needs assessment, completion tracking, renewals and reporting.
• Coordinate staff incentive budgets, ensuring accurate forecasting, spend monitoring, approvals, controls, confidentiality and variance reporting.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships, acting as a central coordinator and communicating issues, risks and recommendations clearly to senior leaders.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist

In this role, you will:

• Lead entity compliance and governance activities, maintaining obligations, records, governance forums, audits and remediation actions.

• Manage role-based learning, training and certification programmes, including needs assessment, completion tracking, renewals and reporting.

• Build strong stakeholder relationships, acting as a central coordinator and communicating issues, risks and recommendations clearly to senior leaders.

To be successful, you will:

• 9–10 years’ hands-on experience in business management, governance, compliance coordination or a related discipline.
• Experience coordinating learning, training, certification or capability programmes is desirable.
• Proven experience supporting OpCo reporting, issue escalation, risk and control activities.
• Strong stakeholder-management skills, with experience working across business and control functions.
• Excellent organisational and project-coordination skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Experience preparing management information, governance papers, reports, action trackers and high-quality governance packs.
• Understanding of budget monitoring, forecasting and variance analysis, with the ability to identify, challenge and escalate risks appropriately.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant workflow or reporting tools, with a track record of meeting compliance obligations, closing remediation actions, improving training completion and maintaining risk, confidentiality and conduct standards.
