Job summary

R Systems seeks a dedicated Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead transformation initiatives within our reference data landscape, driving discovery, architecture definition, and phased migration from GoldenSource to modern cloud-based data platforms.

The role requires deep knowledge of financial instruments, extensive experience with data vendor integrations, and strong SQL/data modeling skills to manage complex hierarchies and cross-domain dependencies.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of financial instruments across Front, Middle, and Back Office processes.
• Proven track record with data vendor integrations (Bloomberg, Refinitiv/Reuters).
• Technical proficiency in data quality, match & merge logic, enrichment, and golden copy creation.
• Analytical capability to manage entity hierarchies and cross-domain dependencies.
• Experience leading GoldenSource modernization or migration programs, including reconciliation and cutover planning.
• Knowledge of event-driven workflows, orchestration, CDC, and data publishing.
• Advanced SQL and data modeling with exposure to Oracle, Databricks, or Snowflake.
• Strong communication across organizational functions.

You will collaborate across business, operations, and technology teams to ensure data integrity and operational excellence.

• Deep understanding of financial instruments such as Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives, and OTC products across Front, Middle, and Back Office processes.
• Proven track record with data vendor integrations including Bloomberg, Refinitiv/Reuters, and various market data providers.
• Technical proficiency in data quality, match & merge logic, enrichment, and golden copy creation.
• Analytical capability to manage entity hierarchies and cross-domain dependencies.
• Experience leading GoldenSource modernization or migration programs, including reconciliation and cutover planning.
• Knowledge of event-driven workflows, orchestration, CDC, and data publishing.
• Advanced SQL and data modeling skills with exposure to platforms like Oracle, Databricks, or Snowflake.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to align objectives across different organizational functions.

Preferred

• Prior experience in decommissioning or replacing legacy GoldenSource systems.
• Experience in defining target-state architectures and strategic migration roadmaps.
• Familiarity with MDM platforms such as Informatica, Reltio, or Semarchy.
