Job summary

Persistent Systems is seeking a Go backend engineer to design, develop, and maintain real-time analytics backend services. You will build Go-based microservices, REST APIs, and integrate with ClickHouse, Kafka, PostgreSQL, and Zookeeper in a cloud-native environment.

You will work in a hybrid setup across all Persistent locations in India, contribute to observability, testing, CI/CD, and data replication. The ideal candidate has 6–14 years of experience, strong Go expertise, and hands-on

• 6–14 years of backend Go development experience.
• Hands-on experience with REST APIs and microservices.
• Experience with distributed systems, concurrency, and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with cloud-native deployments, Docker and Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.

Job description

This position is focused on developing and maintaining Go-based backend microservices for a real-time analytics platform. The role involves building REST APIs, working with Click House, Kafka, PostgreSQL, and Zookeeper, and ensuring scalable, high-performance backend solutions. Candidates should have strong expertise in Go programming, API development, database integration, and cloud-native deployments using Docker and Kubernetes. The engineer will also contribute to observability, testing, CI/CD pipelines, and data replication services.

What You'll Do:

• Design, develop, and maintain Go-based backend microservices and REST APIs that power a real-time analytics platform.
• Build integrations with Click House, Kafka, PostgreSQL, and Zookeeper to support data processing, configuration management, and reporting.
• Implement scalable and high-performance solutions, including analytical query engines, event-driven services, and cross-database replication.
• Contribute to testing, observability, Docker/Kubernetes deployments, and CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable and efficient service delivery.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• Strong proficiency in Go (Golang) with experience building scalable backend services, REST APIs, and microservices architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Click House, PostgreSQL, Kafka, and API development using Open API and Echo framework.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, performance optimization, testing, and observability using Prometheus and Open Telemetry.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and modern cloud-native deployment practices.
