Job summary

Avalara, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Implementation Associate to support customer setups of the connector between Avalara's Tax Engine and ERP/POS/eCommerce platforms. You will work under the guidance of senior team members in an onsite Pune office environment.

Responsibilities include configuring platforms, tracking implementation progress, and assisting customers with questions and issues while growing proficiency across Avalara's product suite and methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Information Systems, IT, or a related discipline.
• Foundational understanding of ERP systems, eCommerce platforms, or POS environments.
• Exposure to tax automation concepts or accounting/bookkeeping practices is a plus (e.g., Avalara, TaxJar, Vertex, Sovos, or similar).
• Strong attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a customer-first mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

What You'll Do

What Your Responsibilities Will Be

• Install and configure a subset of the following ERP and platform integrations: Sage 100, Sage 300, Sage 500, Sage Intacct, Dynamics GP, D365 Sales, D365 Business Central, Salesforce Sales Cloud, Stripe Invoicing, NetSuite, and QuickBooks.
• Explain basic configuration options and demonstrate sales order/invoicing processes to customers.
• Manage a moderate portfolio of active customer implementations, maintaining clear documentation and timely follow-through on all assigned tasks.
• Work collaboratively with senior specialists and cross-functional teams to resolve customer issues and deliver a positive onboarding experience.
