Job summary

OPmobility in Bengaluru, India, seeks an experienced embedded software engineer to lead development and integration for automotive lighting projects. You will propose architectures, review specifications with the platform team, and ensure quality against safety standards.

Responsibilities include C development, multi-disciplinary collaboration, and adherence to Automotive SPICE/ISO26262 practices. Strong English and 15+ years in automotive embedded work are required.

Qualifications

• University degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
• Strong experience in development and architecture of embedded software applications, preferably automotive.
• Excellent programming skills in C and scripting (Python, MATLAB, C#).
• Experience with microcontroller architectures and communication buses.
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink for MBD development.
• Familiar with agile and traditional methods (SCRUM, V-Model).
• Master automotive quality and safety standards (Automotive SPICE, ISO26262).
• Knowledge of requirements management tools (DOORS, CodeBeamer).
• Good understanding of functional safety.
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, GITLAB, GitHub, Jenkins.
• Knowledge of Vector Tools (CANape, CANoe, Canalyzer).
• Able listener with good communication; team player who can work autonomously.
• Fluent English.
• 15+ years of experience in development and integration embedded software for automotive.

• Deliver concepts to development/Platform teams and review specifications.
• Ensure SW quality and design document fulfilment.
• Coordinate multi-discipline activities as needed.
• Contribute to HSI definitions and procedures.
• Raise blocking issues to PM or local manager.
• Understand system functionalities and related software requirements.
• Develop C code according to SW requirements.
• Integrate software components on standard/internal platforms.
• Develop SW to high quality standards with safety and cybersecurity awareness (A-Spice).
• Capitalize knowledge and contribute to documentation.
