Job summary

Emerson is seeking a Global Purchasing Executive in Pune, India to ensure material availability across World Area Manufacturing Sites (WAMS). You will issue POs, calibrate forecasts with suppliers, monitor delivery performance, and drive improvements to reduce costs and inventory levels.

Key focus areas include lead-time reduction, supplier onboarding, contract coordination, and compliance with IO guidelines and internal control policies.

Qualifications

• Experience in global purchasing and supplier management is required.
• Ability to issue Purchase Orders and collaborate for on-time direct shipments.

Responsibilities

• Plan and issue Purchase Orders to suppliers and collaborate for on-time direct shipments to WAMS.
• Calibrate and distribute global forecast to suppliers.
• Publish global delivery performance to suppliers and drive actions for improvements.
• Work with suppliers to improve lead times and flexibility for demand surges and projects.
• Review and act on slow moving or excess inventory.
• Determine best shipment mode to optimize logistic costs.
• Coordinate global contracts and terms for WAMS purchases.
• Maintain purchasing parameter integrity (price, lead-time, policy, codes).
• Coordinate supplier onboarding and maintain supplier database.
• Prepare procurement reports (delivery performance, cost saving, inventory) for management.

Job Summary:

If you are a Supply Chain professional, Emerson has an exciting offer to you! The Global Purchasing Executive, will ensure the Material Availability at Plants by achieving 95% Request Date Service Level (RDSL), and Inventory Management as per IO guidelines to support World Area Manufacturing Sites (WAMS)

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Plan and Issue Purchase Order to suppliers and collaborate for ontime direct shipments to WAMS
• Calibrate and distribute global forecast to suppliers
• Publish global delivery performance to suppliers. Create and Drive actions for non-performing supplier improvements
• Work with suppliers to improve Lead times and flexibility to support WAMS demand surge and project orders
• Review and action on slow moving, excess inventory
• Evaluate and determine best shipment mode for WAMS to optimize logistic cost
• Coordinate global contracts, agreements, and terms/ conditions for WAMS purchases
• Maintain purchasing parameter integrity (price, lead-time, order policy, drawing revision, commodity code, etc)
• Implement, coordinate and maintain Advance Deviation Request/Supplier Corrective Action as per procedure
• Collaborate with Global teams to set up new supplier and maintain supplier database as require
• Build and Submit procurement reports (supplier Delivery Performance, cost saving, inventory on hand, etc) to management and Worldwide strategic commodity managers as appropriate in a timely manner
• Ensure purchases align with WAMS trade import/export and Internal Control Policies
• Support Commodity Manager on implementing commodity plans (eg. Reverse Auction, tooling tracking, etc)
• Training of new suppliers for i-Portal or Tools
• Deliver assigned tasks and Strive for continuous improvement and pro-active in all areas
