We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Head of Cyber Service Resilience.

Our Cybersecurity team helps maintain a strong, secure technology and data infrastructure—using industry-leading techniques, real-time data analytics, and controls to enhance protection against cyber-attacks.
The Opportunity:
- Our Technology teams work closely with HSBC’s Global Businesses and Markets to design, build, and run digital services that allow millions of our customers around the world to bank quickly, simply, and securely. We manage technology infrastructure, data centers, and core banking systems powering the bank’s operations, with one of the largest technology estates in the industry.
- We are looking for a Cybersecurity leader to shape our long-term strategy and accelerate delivery, as the accountable owner for Data Protection across the bank. This senior role reports directly to the Global Head of Cyber Technology & Engineering.
What you’ll do:
- Lead Production Support for Cybersecurity’s technology services and tooling across the bank, including managing major IT incidents, providing 24x7 incident management, and supporting third-party (including SaaS) tool production support services.
- Lead Problem Management for Cybersecurity’s technology services, driving problem prioritization, support, and tracking for sustainable resolution, along with thematic assessments for improvement.
- Lead hygiene management for Cybersecurity’s technology services, including patching, automation, vulnerability remediation, and maintaining hygiene practices.
- Lead communities of practice for Cyber IT Service Owners, acting as Cyber’s delegate for relevant themes such as service continuity, data backup, and inventory management. Support the outsourcing of tasks where appropriate.
- Drive Observability practices across Cybersecurity’s technology services, including enhancing logging, monitoring, and alerting capabilities, and establishing a Center of Excellence for observability.
- Manage endpoint agent lifecycle management for all Cyber endpoint agents and sensors, working on automation and simplification of agent management.
- Develop and inspire a team of experienced engineers across multiple markets to meet strategic goals.
- Create partnerships with Capability Engineering teams to support new products and services, including defining service levels and maintaining operational runbooks.
