Job summary

Nomura is a global financial services group seeking a senior QA leader for Global Execution Services Technology in India. The role focuses on building and governing QA across global equities trading platforms, driving automation, and ensuring quality in high-stakes environments.

You will mentor a team of QA engineers, design robust automation, and collaborate with trading desks and development teams to meet stringent performance and reliability targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 15+ years of software QA experience in financial services.
• 7+ years leading QA teams in trading systems.
• Strong understanding of global financial markets and trading systems.
• Expert knowledge of automated testing frameworks and CI/CD.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or C#.
• Experience with Ranorex, UFT, Test Complete or similar tools.
• Experience with Git and build tools (Maven or Gradle).
• Unix/Linux shell scripting, Jenkins, SQL and databases.
• Deep understanding of FIX protocol and financial messaging.
• Hands-on with GitLab, Jenkins/GitLab CI.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools like Grafana/Prometheus.
• Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Lead incident reviews and implement preventive measures.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 15+ years of software QA experience, strictly in financial services
• 7+ years of experience leading QA teams in trading systems or similar high-stakes environments
• Strong understanding of global financial markets, trading systems, and market data
• Expert knowledge of automated testing frameworks and continuous integration/deployment
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java or C#
• Strong background in test automation tools and frameworks
• Automation background with Windows desktop GUI applications (i.e. not just web automation like Selenium).
• Experience with Ranorex, UFT , Test Complete or similar test automation software is preferred
• Execute end-to-end automation test scripts and interpret test data and test results.
• Experience with Git and build tools (Maven or Gradle).
• Experience Unix/Linux shell scripting, open-source tools, Jenkins, SQL and database technologies.
• Deep understanding of FIX protocol and other financial messaging standards
• Hands-on with GitLab, Jenkins/Gitlab CI
• Good to know monitoring tools such as Grafana/Prometheus
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
