Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and qualified Chartered Accountant with deep expertise in General Ledger (GL) consolidation, SPA (Shared Platform Accounting), and S/4HANA implementation. The ideal candidate will bring strong domain knowledge in GL processes, a solid understanding of US GAAP, and proven experience in leading or supporting SAP S/4HANA transformation projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support SPA GL consolidation activities across multiple entities and geographies.
- Drive and contribute to S/4HANA implementation projects, focusing on GL and financial consolidation modules.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with US GAAP and internal policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, Finance, and external consultants to align system capabilities with business requirements.
- Design and optimize GL processes and controls within the S/4HANA environment.
- Provide expert guidance on chart of accounts, intercompany eliminations, and financial close processes.
- Conduct gap analysis, prepare functional specifications, and support testing and deployment phases.
- Monitor and resolve issues related to data integrity, system configuration, and reporting accuracy.
Required Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or ICWA certification is mandatory.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in GL consolidation and financial reporting.
- Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA, especially in Finance (FI) and GL modules.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and international accounting standards.
- Proven track record in SAP implementation or migration projects.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Must-Haves
- Minimum 5 years of experience in GL Consolidation.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in S/4HANA implementation.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in General Ledger Accounting.
- Chartered Accountant (CA) / ICWA qualification.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and international accounting standards.
Nice-to-Haves (Preferred Skills)
- Experience with SAP Group Reporting or BPC (Business Planning and Consolidation).
- Knowledge of IFRS and other global accounting frameworks.
- Exposure to multinational corporate environments and shared service models.
