Hitachi ABB Power Grids is seeking a GIS Factory Testing & Documentation Engineer to lead routine testing, prepare test documents, and ensure quality in a high‑voltage GIS manufacturing environment.
You will collaborate with engineering, production, project management, and global stakeholders to meet IEC standards and safety requirements while driving continual improvements in testing and documentation processes.
Join our High Voltage GIS manufacturing team and play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of world‑class Gas Insulated Switchgear products. As a GIS Factory Testing & Documentation Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting factory routine and acceptance testing, preparing and validating test documentation, supporting customer inspections, and driving quality excellence throughout the manufacturing process. You will work closely with engineering, production, project management, and global stakeholders to ensure products meet customer expectations and international standards while promoting a strong safety culture
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or a related
discipline.
Minimum 4+ years of experience in GIS, High Voltage Switchgear, Substation Equipment, Factory Testing,
Quality Assurance, or related manufacturing environments
Strong knowledge of Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) products, testing requirements, and manufacturing
processes
Experience in routine testing, factory acceptance testing (FAT), inspection planning, and preparation of
test documentation and reports
Good understanding of IEC standards, high-voltage testing practices, and electrical safety requirements
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook. Strong analytical, problem- solving, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and ability to work effectively in a multicultural
global environment.
