Job summary

NakshaTech is looking for a GIS Analyst to process, analyse and quality-check geospatial data across drone, LiDAR and survey projects in Bengaluru. You will produce maps, models and datasets ready for clients, applying QA/QC to ensure accuracy and consistency.

The role requires 2–5 years of GIS experience, a degree in Geography/Geoinformatics or related field, and proficiency with ArcGIS or QGIS; knowledge of Global Mapper, AutoCAD and LiDAR tools is a strong plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Geography, Geoinformatics, Civil Engineering, Remote Sensing or related field.
• 2–5 years hands-on GIS experience; fresh graduates considered.
• Proficiency in ArcGIS and/or QGIS; working knowledge of Global Mapper, AutoCAD and LiDAR tools is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Process and analyse geospatial data from drone imagery, LiDAR and field surveys.
• Produce orthophotos, DEM/DSM/DTM, contours, 3D meshes and topographic maps.
• Perform feature extraction, digitization and attribute mapping (buildings, roads, utilities, drainage, vegetation).
• Prepare and maintain GIS datasets - shapefiles, geodatabases, KML/KMZ and CAD outputs.
• Run topology checks, edge matching and QA/QC for positional, thematic and logical accuracy.
• Support DPR, urban-planning and asset-management deliverables with map production and spatial analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor's/Master's in Geography, Geoinformatics, Civil Engineering, Remote Sensing or related field.

• Proficiency in ArcGIS and/or QGIS; working knowledge of Global Mapper, AutoCAD and photogrammetry/LiDAR tools (TerraSolid, Agisoft Metashape, Autodesk ReCap) a strong plus.
• Understanding of coordinate systems, datums, projections and survey accuracy standards.
• Strong attention to detail and data-quality discipline.

Nice to have

• LiDAR point-cloud classification; exposure to Scan-to-BIM / digital twins / 3D city modelling; Python or model-builder automation for GIS workflows.
